I really doubt that; I mean getting 2 4870s for 34k with predatorvj's local distri suggesting around 19.5k + vat which's really horrid!! :(

Of course KMD to the rescue but then I bet it more on the Indian distris;

Hi All,

NVIDIA has drop down of their GTX280 Series Prices so as ZOTAC one of the NVIDIA AIC als0 announced the price drop on the same and pass on this benefit to our customers.

The New price would be GTX 280 - INR 34,500/- & GTX280 AMP! - INR 37,500/-

Best Regards,

The GTX280 should not have been more than 30k (You people would still be making a considerable profit even at that price point) considering that it costs just $499 in US now.

If I am right the stocks in India is directly imported from the south-east. So technically the cost should work out cheaper than in US. Still if we consider Importing a card from US even after paying about 30% custom duties, it will still bring the card price to just 27k. Add another 3k as your profit that the price still comes to 30k.

If 34.5k is the updated price after the price cuts, then its not attractive at all.

............
Zotac is actually a subsidiary of PC Partner who are also the people behind Sapphire - one of ATI's biggest board partners

adding to what banik has said above.. Zotac are pretty established in the European market, though not as much in the American market.

Yes, ZOTAC is very new in Nvidia, ZOTAC brand has made by PC Partner Ltd. who is one of the biggest in Graphic Cards Manufecturing.

ZOTAC done a quite good job with a years time and won 120 award across the world on only Graphics Cards and now its NVIDIA's biggest AIC Partner.

ZOTAC’s commitment to our user is to bring the latest products quickly to the market with the best value. Doubtless to say ZOTAC is the right choice for those who require high-quality graphic solutions.

Best Regards,

^^^ All of us here know that all graphic cards are made by 1 or 2 OEMs and these companies like XFX, MSI, Powercolor or even Zotac puts their own sticker and in some cases, their custom coolers - nothing else...
So all cards from these companies are all the same :tongue:

SO, unless your company can come up with awesome Indian prices that can give the competition run of the money....there is no substance in all the above sugar coated sentences :bleh:

For a start, Why don't u start a good GO with your Zotac lineup
