Friend got white one from Argos store.

Any idea how much normal u.k shipping charge is? if its costly might go aramex route.

It will cost about 12 GBP by Royal Mail and is not trackable, will take 2-3 weeks. Aramex will work out to be cheaper and faster.

I'm getting one through Varkey - if I don't like it I'll put it up for sale within 1-2 days of receiving at actual cost. Else my Galaxy 5 (running 2.2) will be up for sale at a discounted price :ohyeah:

He can avail services of Royal mail or any other courier including Aramex directly, without going ShopandShip route. I feel that should be cheaper.

^ Royal Mail International Signed For Small Packets will come to 12 GBP ~ 18 USD. You can get it shipped by Aramex for 10 USD, trackable, 4-5 days transit time. Royal mail will be trackable only till it leaves UK and after that IndiaPost takes over. Can take 2-3 weeks and no information about the package after leaving UK. :P

Have got 4 phones via uk through them.Always received within 7 days and best part was I never had to pay any duties.

You can get it shipped by Aramex for 10 USD, trackable

You are forgetting to add other charges to it which aramex charges.

^ The duty is unpredictable, but Aramex final shipping cost will be only Rs 507 ~ 7.2 GBP ( Rs 460 + 10.33% service tax) although you need to open an account first by paying 5 USD. :P

aramex charged ~500 for shipping and ~200 for customs incl. their charges ...... which is pretty cheap compared to other options .

Given a choice I'll always prefer a state postal service over private players due to unpredictable attitude of custom officials towards them. Parcels handled by India post are normally cleared without much fuss.

tell ur friend to remove user manuals it may reduce weight....some ppl over here said tht weight is around 520gms...it may save u $8
