Yeah, the same thing works for me as well....if I connect the device directly, there are no issues. But I just spent 850 bucks on a USB hub and wanted to connect my wireless usb stick and an external dvd writer to it...

I have a PCI to USB card which has 4 usb 2.0 ports. Since it is at the back of the CPU, I got a usb extension cable. Now any of my devices like my Wlan adapter/pen drive refused to work (though they would power on) when connected to this extension cable. I thought this might be a power issue...

+1 ..after all the research i've done here, I would say go for the One V (ICS out of the box) or the Neo V or the Ray (smaller screen). There was a good deal on buytheprice yest, where One V was going for 16.5k Defy+ is another good option (that I see you are already looking at), but will not...

you mean the original Defy or the Defy+. Dont think the original Defy is still being sold, is it? Will not be giving custom ROMS a thought (unless i suddenly feel the urge to play around with the phone and know that there is a way to go back to the original fw/ROM).

The Neo V would come down probably when the Xperia U gets released since Sony would not want U's sales to be affect coz of the Neo V. But not sure when it is going to launch.

Yup... not too keen on the Wave 3 simply coz of the OS. The one on ebay is with dealer warranty only. A visit to alpha should settle it i think...

@Marcus - the Wave 3 from all the reviews seems like a premium phone. But the Bada OS... hmmm. Is the Venue upgradeable to Gingerbread? I know it wont have ICS support for sure, but correct me if I'm wrong....coz if it does have ICS, it would be a no-brainer for me. ...EDIT: Just read this Now...

hadnt heard of the Burst... sure seems to have good reviews.... But no warranty The Live seems like a good deal for those who want a good music phone...I have my Ipod for that ... just need a good display and wifi hotspot really, which is what made me shortlist the explorer as well.
