hello vishal which model of cooler master are you comparing and is it 250W or 350W? have not heard of a 250W PSU. If it is cooler master 350W it will probably be better than local 450W.

You can use any PSU of the two,CM would be better but don't add GPU to the rig unless you get better PSU otherwise there will be smokes coming out of the psu.
Don't know exact model of the psu, dealer told me that this psu comes with a cooler master cabinet, costing @ 3800.

Hi Vishal,

I wont recommend you any of your choices for below reasons:

1. Intex is a fake power psu while CM is a Peak power psu as both doesnt provide the labelled wattage at all times. Go for a truepower PSU. FYI, Antec psu comes with truepower watt.

2. The rma ratio in CM is very huge resulting in system breakdown coz its a peakpower psu and users try to extract more power from it.

3. Since your requirement is 250w watts then either go for below 2 options:

a) Antec BP300P - INR 1900/-
b) Antec VP450 - INR 2600/-

Yes price is on higher side but its value for money when it comes to reliability as i myself am using Antec HCG620 psu which has awsome performance. But its your call....Cheers!!

If OP is going to get a new PSU then these are better choices-
FSP SAGAII 400W-1.8k OR Corsair CX430V2-2.4k both are very good PSU's.

For ~200/- quid more (on street almost same prices), the CX v2430W is a much better buy.
^ CX430 V2, master yoda it is. :p
Please avoid these, they are really cheap models brought up by Corsair to combat the Cooler Master eXtreme Pro series and are just as bad (poor components used in build) -- Fake SAMXON cap in Corsair PSU? - Badcaps Forums. Post #8
Why should anyone bother to buy something that is not there on the Corsair global site?!! :p

I dunno. Thing is they cropped up amidst rumors that Corsair is withdrawing the CX v2 series SMPS from India; initially I had the same reaction as yours Bikey that the weren't on the Corsair Global site = fake.

But then later a quiet press release backing it Corsair admitted that it was releasing the VS (Value series) SMPS in the Indian and Chinese market (only, this is not retailed anywhere else) to grab a share of the pie from Cooler Master's eXtreme Pro series but as far as I can see both are equally bunkum and not worth their price-tags.

So I am steering clear of these and recommending the slightly more expensive CX v2430W. Cheerio!

Dear Corsair,
Why O' Why do you have to compete in the cheapo segment when you have budget CX/GS/TX models?
Why not make AX550, HX550 or the likes for the newer Ivy/Sandy builds with low power requirement?

I see that they have listed it on the website now- wasn't theer when we had first heard of it.
Builder Series? VS450 ? 450 Watt High Performance Power Supply
The Corsair VS450 is a great choice if you’re building a home or office system with lower power demands, but you still demand the compatibility and reliability that Corsair is known for.
NOTE: Available in the Asian market only.

SKU# CP-9020009
Worth $0.00 if to be sold in USA?

They do have the TX550M (semi-modular) SMPS filling up the vacuum left by the withdrawal of the VX550W / 450W SMPS from the markets; still not released in our markets, although chappies sending in their Corsair VX-series SMPS for RMA now are getting these as replacements from Kaizen. Hope they are unleashed in the open market soon with sane price tags.

I still don't know why Corsair stooped the production of legendary VX series:no2:,They're still to produce replacement to VX450 and 550W PSU,TX550M isn't that good.
