PC Peripherals Suggest good Keyboard for my desktop

Hello guys,

My old n basic keyboard has gone kaput thus planning to get good one now.. Since never looked at keyboard market in my life need real help now.
Some imp points i am writing down about things i am looking for

-> must be wireless...
-> only keyboard pereferred instead of combo. Already have wireless mouse.

-> do ample amount of typing so should be good and comfortable for typing

-> planning to get a backlit board so that keys could easily be seen when im processing photos in dark

-> though i don't do much of gaming, my friend often come to play.. so basically don't need a gaming keyboard but should not be crap for even medium gaming.. ok ok performer needed

-> would be treat if multimedia buttons kind of things are there

Anything else one should look in good keyboard??

Budget - though i am not sure what kind of budget is good for this kind of board.. but could spend decent amount.. at the moment plans to spend upto 2.5k.. lower is better :P
Also, plans to buy good quality long run boards of good brands, staying away from intex, frontech stuff

Woop.. the one u mentioned is quite expensive..
I did mentioned budget in first post... upto 2.5k... or max 3k
No good option in backlit+wireless combo?? Gaming is not the need
 
If you want to have backlit keyboard within that budget then you'd go for wired keyboard-
TVS Gold Keyboard-1.7k OR Microsoft Sidewinder X4-2k these are very good keyboards with backlit support.In wireless keyboard you won't get backlit feature within that budget.

Since you type a lot, learning touch typing will do a world of good to you. Your neck will thank you. It also makes it simple to choose a keyboard, just as a bonus.

Unsolicited advice, I know.

That's what I'm asking. Jakob's post clearly says that X4 and TVS gold have backlit which is false.
 
Come on guys,It was a typo i was saying good VFM keyboards are those,The backlit feature was for the Microsoft Sidewinder.

Sorry guys for late response..

Well, since wireless and backlit won't be coming together, would go for a backlit keyboard with bit long wire..
Also as already making compromise, would rather prefer one with good gaming capabilities then, making treat for friends :P numpad must too.

Any pointers for these needs

How long should the wire be, check the following keyboards --
  • MICROSOFT Sidewinder X4 ~2000/-
  • LOGITECH G105 ~3000/-
  • Razer Black Widow ~3500/-

Touch typing -- typing without using the sense of sight to find the keys. Specifically, a touch typist will know their location on the keyboard through muscle memory. Well not too long.. just 2m would be good
Is sidewinder x4 and G105 good for gaming??

Edit : checked both online.. looks like they would give more than i need for gaming...
Any decisive points on which one i should go for between x4 and g105

LOGITECH for its excellent driver, wide support for games (through the driver) and warranty terms.

MICROSOFT X4 for its better N-KRO (multiplayer arcade games will benefit), driver support for almost every conceivable edition of Windows (even future editions) and being slightly cheaper.

It'd be better to suggest Logitech G110-3.5k than G105 if OP is willing to spend it,Also OP should avoid Razer Products as it has poor built quality.I think OP should settle for Microsoft Sidewinder X4-2k it's good within less budget.

Logitech G110 is not 3.5k. Its costs min. 4k everywhere.
 
Guys, where are you checking prices.. i looked around in few online sites and either x4 and logitech g105 not mentioned or is at higher price..
Any link recommendation to buy it online
