happened to me same thing thru dtdc a year back.
they stole my dell streak!!!
there is a thread for that too.
i sorted it out with buyers help and today the buyer is a good frend of mine
thing is have patience and a bit of trust
it really helps the seller

In your thread, the seller and you were both responding and trying to reach a solution. In all of the six pages of this thread, there has been not one response from the seller since the phone went missing. Heck, if its really the fault of DTDC guys, why can't he ask for assistance from some local TE members and go inquire at the DTDC office. That will not only lend credibility to his story but also provide some mental relief to the buyer that at least the seller is taking efforts to resolve the issue. I cannot find a shred of credibility in the story of the seller and really think that this is a SCAM. If I am proved wrong, then my apologies to the seller, but otherwise I think the buyer should go to the police and lodge an FIR, asap.

He is right... Even though the seller is saying the phone has been traced... He doesn't have it... Yet.... So this could just as well be another gimmick to buy some time... I would definitely lodge an FIR asap if I was the buyer... After reading all the previous posts as to how the seller avoided local deals / pickups... The matter does seem pretty shady.... Just my two cents to the buyer
 
Have some patience guys. Seller is probably in a lot of distress due to this entire thing. He is not running away like typical scammers do. Having said that, if the seller is reading this, I would just suggest him to post a simple "I am here" update so that it removes any suspicion the people on this thread are having on him.
 
I think its already enough waiting, it'd be good if seller picks up the buyer's phone or replies him atleast.
 
If the seller have traced the cell he should just relief the buyer by giving the money back , to him as he is saying that he traced it so he should have no prob. In giving back the money.
 
Some TEian from buyer should visit the seller and help him trace the phone.. which will help find if he has actually traced the phone or just messing around. Some TEian from banglore please help this guy!

On top of it he was a new member.. I mean joint just few months back and only 1 positive... We all can just hope that u get this thing sorted out..

One would definitely help the seller. But he is not responding in this thread at all. This is not a sign of loyalty.

Pardon my ignorance on this bit but what do you expect the moderators to do here?

We expect the members to resolve/settle disputes mutually (which has been the norm until now; such as a part refund from the seller to compensate for the loss incurred by him or a complete refund for the buyer from the seller) failing which we may have to decide and take up a stand, like blacklisting the seller and providing his details on the list of frauds but not unless there are sufficient records to prove that he is guilty. This is the last step however.

But please do not be under the impression that the forum moderators are being paid to do the work onboard! It doesn't happen that way.
 
I just pray to God, the seller don't turn up to be a Scammer.

A dirty fish makes the whole pond dirty, just hope this thing doesn't comes to my lovely TE :(
 
A quick update: The phone has been found, It was with one guy of the DTDC. DTDC guys are giving stories there. Seller is waiting for one of the cop to come there.

DTDC guys have stolen the phone from the parcel and repacked it and sent me the box without phone wow, great courier service.
 
So says the seller. Please ask him to post proof of him holding the phone in his hand this time or maybe hes just buying time again?
 
So DTDC is a culprit here ,and we are thinking the other way all because of the seller chooses to remain silent for no reason :facepalm: .Ultimately i hope this matter will be sorted soon.
 
it is bound to happen anyone will think the same as the seller being the culprit but still i don't believe the words of the seller and i won't believe him unless he shows us the phone
 
Let's hope everything will be sorted out ASAP. It could have been better if @MasterPradeep had replied here and explained the situation time to time. Maybe others can also help. Nobody here is blaming you, in fact all the members want to help both of you to get things sorted out.
