Looking for a 32" TV in the 30k range. I believe LED is the preferred choice and I've been told Samsung is the best brand.
1. Budget.
30k
2. Viewing distance.
~10ft
3. Sources/inputs such as HD DTH/consoles/stand-alone media players etc.
DTH mostly Indian channels
Movies (from BluRay/laptop),
Gaming (from PS3 & PC both)
4. Preference for plasma TV/LCD TV/LED-LCD TV.
LED
5. Preference for brands.
Samsung/LG/Sony
6. Willing to purchase it from the grey market?
No
7. Ambient lighting conditions of the room.
Normal daylight / CFL (not too bright usually). But night time (no lighting) usage as well.
8. Any other feature you are looking for such as 3D support on the HDTV, DLNA capabilities etc.
Not specifically. If it can playback video formats such as .mkv that should be fine.
Also, D-Sub port would be a plus although not really necessary.
I would love to have some technical insight and suggested model numbers so I can make an informed decision. I can extend the budget if necessary.
Other queries :
1. For 1080p content being played, is difference between 720p and 1080p displays that obvious from a viewing distance of 8-10 feet?
2. Which company offers good warranty (extended)?
3. How to best test or compare TVs in a store?
