Budget Above 25K Huge Dilemma: HTC One v/s Samsung Galaxy S4

I'm quite surprised I haven't seen one of these threads already. Looking at the biggest flagship phones for this year (till now, and perhaps for the rest of the year from both HTC and Samsung), I'm looking to buy one of them. I simply don't know which one to pick.

- I love the HTC One design, though Galaxy S4's compact shell is great as well.
- I like Sense quite a lot, TouchWiz is okay. But it's the added Software tweaks by Samsung that make the experience quite amazing, if I am to believe the adds.
- The Galaxy S4 simply has a much better camera than the HTC One.
- The Super AMOLED display has it's advantages (Daydream, pure black) but the SLCD display is gorgeous as well.

As you can see, I'm pretty messed up here :D. Don't know what to do. Don't want to end up buying an UMI X2 (or a rumored Micromax Canvas A120) or something. Why would I do that?

- Quad core
- 2 GB RAM
- 13 MP cam
- Android 4.2.1 JB

P.S. the plastic on s4 is indeed poly-carbonate its just that samsung likes to make it shine ie. hyperglaze[DOUBLEPOST=1367997208][/DOUBLEPOST]and ohh the reason update gets delayed is because touchwizz or sense is not just a skin you know its a whole new build of Android .
unlike the windows phone days
and if you really want to compare software updates the only nexus line of phones make in for a fair debate (with asop and all )
and with that its probably better if we keep arguments to a minimum

Sure you will say I can root my android phone to the latest os, the fact is for a naive user who pays 40-45k for a phone he would expect the manufacture to support the phone for couple of years.

Ps: I am no apple fanboy and have infact never owned a iPhone, and am a currently using an android phone.

is there any prominent feature ported into 3gs, 4 like siri , its just they are still able to brainwash people
you want to spend 20k plus for that phone with only 8 GB memory...iphone is now no were in competition in India and people don't bring in iPhone in this place again its just disgusting :p

Why does it bother you so much that Samsung releases multiple phones? Samsung releases only one phone that's costs over 35k every year. That's the reason we call it a flagship.

As for supporting the handsets for 18 months, Samsung is best at supporting their devices among all the android manufacturers.

The stupid sales campaign is earning them so much that Samsung's marketing budget is more than HTC's turnover.

You don't get it and that is plain sad! You can keep your substance inside a cheap plastic exterior! I prefer my phones to be smart and sexy at the same time! :p

Samsung's marketing budget may be more than HTC's turnover (not maybe it must be :p) but that does not stop HTC from packing kickass hardware inside a decent shell !!! For consumers in the likes of you, the S4 and all related phones are good and i guess Samsung feeds off such people! However there are a few of us who think that as much as the interior matters its important to pay a little attention to the exterior. If Samsung achieves this then i don't think any phone seller can compete with them.[DOUBLEPOST=1368022863][/DOUBLEPOST]

Again the sells figure of galaxy phones suggests Samsung does not need to (and they are not) give a toss about what buyers like you think :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Most people here like and love Samsung. I do not wish to argue or try to change their opine.

All the best for your future phones ( oh wait most of you will be buying Samsung plastic phones so you guys don't need to look much :p ).

According to latest rumors, samsung is going to launch Galaxy S4 Zoom in june which is basically a camera with 16mp sensor and a phone :eek: and a rugged S4 called S4 Activ with dust proof and water resistance capabilities.

Besides these two they will also launch S4 Mini later, they have already diluted their current flagship with so many other S4's...haha

I have the same problem as @dafreaking. It is difficult to take anything else seriously after reading that statement. Why would you want "ad support" for old sh1tty phones? So that Apple can sell to unsuspecting customers and relieve itself of old stock of ancient phones ,or so that the people who choose to buy the outdated phones will feel better about themselves and be in some illusion that their phone is still current?
Also I'm going grossly OT but as much as Apple updates it's phones, the updates lag like hell in any phone other than the previous flagship. Also Apple hardware choices before 4s mean, all those phones are amazingly slow with their ancient hardware which were outdated at launch. And even the simplest of games stutter on iPhone 4 and below. This is my last post regarding this and I hope everyone would end this discussion here as this is not the place for this and I also don't think we need another thread of this kind, especially since we'll get no where.
