Some people loving it, some hating it. Mixed responses.
Also Apple took (stole) lot of stuff from the jailbreak community like the mission control /auxo style multi tasking, SBS Settings like toggles, notification center on lockscreen,
made the iBlacklist jailbreak app redundant by introducing the blocking of calls, messages, facetime from certain numbers. Good for people who receive lot of spams.

Will have to see what all features are in store as apple does not talk about all features in the keynote and things are discovered later on.

I just hope it gets jailbroken soon after the release.

Looks are pretty much standardized across all operating systems now barring a few innovations.. overall seems good.. the feel of the system is cleaner and transparent than ever before so that is one advantage..

Does iOS7 offer call blocking as well or just message blocking ?? Also any feature like whitelist or just blacklist ??

iOS 7 reminds me of MIUI :oops:

[DOUBLEPOST=1370957238][/DOUBLEPOST]Even iOS 6 seems better, see below:

After a long long time, i think they havr got the right change.

The whole thing seems simple and looks fantastic to the eye. Jony ive take a bow you buddy .

I just miss one thing, a single thing that would prevent me from going for an iPhone and get an Android device instead.

Homescreen

By the way, shouldnt the name of the thread be " apple announces ios7 "?

Ios7 out with 2 exclamation marks depicts a different meaning altogether.

I don't know what to say but as of now without trying anything, I like my older interface better.
As it is it was never that I did not like.

They also took dig at Samsung at the keynote. Something like you don't need to bump your phones with others. Advertising for Airdrop feature I guess.

They did absolutely the right thing in bringing airdrop in ios devices. In a nutshell, we do tend to share more files on our mobile devices then we do on desktops.

At last year's keynote while talking about fragmentation they said something like "They released android 4.0, a dairy product.....". Apple employees seem to forget their company is named after a fruit. Anyway the keynote was a fun watch and the way audience were reacting to it, seemed like they were brought to keynote direct from stone age.
The Verge has published great article about iOS7.

iOS7 = Pre-made innovation

Funny how they have totally stopped talking about market shares since last couple of WWDCs.
Must appreciate the audacity of Apple to call everything they do as innovation! And the hyperbole shower :D

Why the high ground when apple gives it back?

Samsung themselves have been naughty about this pretty much. Remember the sheep, the flash mob outside apple stores, the cringeworthy ads?

I would suggest just sit back and enjoy. If you take any sides you do spend time commenting on useless sites and arguing with eggheads.

Looks ALMOST like MIUI. 95% I would say. White theme, minimalist icons...

MIUI looks much better though..

Looks good. Overall seems cleaner.

^Yep looks like MiUi. Most likely they are going to sue them now for copying :P

Even i like the older interface better but like what they did to some of their apps.messages app and weather apps look much better now. Also some of the added features like control center and palm pre style multitasking menu . It's still not as intuitive as nokia's meego is but overall i like the improvements. However the thing i like the most is call blocking( one of the few reasons is till jailbreak) But it's a pity that air drop will only work for iphone 5 and above. there aren't too many i5s ard where i live. Also siri in iOS7 isn't what it ought to be.....a means to communicate with the phone itself.Like " siri pls switch to airplane mode" Also i need a scheduler built into iOS like on the android when the phone automatically switches to wifi when i get home.

So apart from the looks there is a lot to like abt the new OS. One feature i like is this one:-

hahaha.. true[DOUBLEPOST=1371014072][/DOUBLEPOST]Overall in the looks department it scores full points.. its pleasing to the eye and does not make an effort to strike out.. its a mixture of all operating systems though

Interface looks like that show "Sweet Sixteen" or whatever it was. Candy Floss iOS. I hope it looks better during hands on. Extremely polarising.
