Budget 15-20K Moto G or Moto X

I was inclined to getting the Moto g (had already gifted it to my wife and she is extremely happy with it) but Moto x is available for only 20k at flipkart, so about 7.5 k extra than Moto g (I was going to get the 8gb version of moto g). Is 7.5k extra worth it to spend for a moto x.

What I want from my phone:

1) Good web browsing
2) Good battery life
3) Consistency (lot of android phones hang a lot)
4) Shouldn't be too big

I understand that moto g fits all the above but moto x seems to be more exciting phone with all the touch less controls and sensors and voice control. Does it work well in a moto x? that would be my only single reason for buying the moto x.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Gautam

Yeah, the hardware is outdated, but again it'll only matter if you use the phone extensively for gaming and those kinds. For normal usage no one will notice a darn thing.

I'm playing Riptide on the X, and when I change the settings to high I do notice stutters here and there. This is the first time I'm gaming on a phone, never played this type of games on the S4, or any other phone for that matter, so can't compare, also don't care that the game lags, but even Flappy Bird has occasional stutters, and that do bother me!

I'm a jerk, just scrutinizing this phone so that I can get the X+1 when it releases. Idiot.

Have been using the phone for a couple of weeks now and got to say I am really happy with it. The touchless controls feature is just fantastic and I can recommend the phone only for that if not for anything else. Moto X for a 4.7 inch screen is just perfect in size. Actually looks quite small for the 4.7 inch screen size and fits in the hand perfectly. It is also very sleek and attractive, especially in black color.

And this is one of its USP's. You're hooked now and cannot go back to other 'dumb' phones :)

Had this idea that this was the way to get google voice to be used more, do you find google voice is much use in india.

This is moto's strength, they do good in ergonomics, they have the hardware side as in comfort factor down, now they work on the software side. The first bit is difficult to achieve for a vendor and even identify for a lay person, the second one is harder still.

I get taken back to this line by Michael Fisher of Pocket Now

every time i return to the x it feels like coming home

@gautamsarin
If you haven't bought, have a look at Moto G 2nd gen. I will get mine tomorrow. Will share my feedback next week.

What G 2nd gen got vs G:
5inch vs 4.5inch
Expandable slot vs none
8MP Rear vs 5MP
2MP Front vs 1.3MP
Stereo speakers
Andriod 4.4.4 upgradable to L

I was looking forward to buying the new Moto X but looking at the reviews, Motorola managed to make the new Moto X worse than the previous one in terms of camera quality and battery life which were not good to begin with. One of their best features was the size and it has changed for the worse as well.
