Video Which DTH to take?

Does any provider offer an All-in-one package. It should include all the channels that are being offered as well as automatically activate/include any new channels that get added on.

Its with all providers. It's usually the Gold packs which incl. all normal+HD channels and yes on these packs any new channels introduced will get automatically added.

Didn't happen with my Airtel Mega HD plan. And that's the best plan they offer. So looking for other options.
 
I am getting fed up with AirTel's connection interruption during rains or thunderstorms! I sometimes think that I might break that damn STB when it keeps switching between that damn Orange and damn Green light :D

Is Tata Sky any better?

Yes when it was 25%, i was using rel big tv, and stb had conked out, this 25% made me jump ship ...
Subtotal Rs. 7,620.00

Total Rs. 5,715.00
 
Touchwood but Tata Sky gives no trouble to me whatsoever and whatever the climatic scenario.
Even if its dark cloudy and heavily raining I cant feel it on my tv at least coz no interruption.;)

Still if you are watching hi-band channels like Tensports etc. there will very rare disruption that too on very rare occasion but still the STB stays on and so the pictures. The pic may freeze there itself & resumes in some secs. so manually I just change channels and switch back to the same and all good again.:cool:

Suggest a dth for my NRI friend who comes only twice a year to India and will be staying for 1 month each . So some dth provider in which we can charge only when wanted

I think you can do it with all of them. I know Tata Sky and Dish TV charge some Rs. 10-15 as activation fees and reactivate your old connection.
 
I'm also using Videocon , I recharge whenever required only , I like everything about it except it's Os, while playing the recorded programs, can't fast forward easily ,there's a lag for the OS
 
Considering airtel dth because I get decent number of HD channels at a decent cost. Around 5.5k for 12 months including the hardware. Confirmed my subscription by 19th. Told them to install today, but no call from the local personnel today, so my guess would be it will be delayed. Will give another day else will cancel the order.
