Reliance Jio Rollout

benefits are same as preview offer.. availability of jio sim is invite free now, only condition is to buy lyf handset.

OK, so I activated my Jio SIM and also tele-verified it. I signed up for my Jio and they asked me to click a link which they sent to my mail. But I haven't received any mail yet from them. Its been more than 30 mins. Also, how do I recharge my number if I need to(do I need to?)?

Reliance Jio website goes live, opens registration for network trial for everyone. One can register for showing interest.

This is going to be interesting. The CAF process and indoor coverage issues have not been resolved but they want to launch and sell their phones.

Frankly with what I know now and their apathy towards indoor coverage I wouldn't choose their network.

Jio Infocomm may launch its commercial 4G services with 90,000 mobile cell sites with 608 million GB (Read:608 PB) per month capacity across the country, IDFC Securities said in a note.

Jio’s network may well reach 125,000 4G-sites in India on 850MHz/1800MHz/2300MHz spectrum bands by 2019, the agency said, adding the network then would have the potential capacity to support 180-280 million subscribers by 2019 (even if usage levels increase by 3-4 times).

I don't think so. Though the link shared by @swatkats in the other thread has a form to "register interest".
Don't confuse yourself with Jio and Rcom.

I was going by:

Ultraband 1Gbps through Fiber is currently available in Mumbai.
but they're expanding to Delhi, Bangalore,Pune,Chennai,Kolkata and Hyderabad soon.

http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/internet/ultraband-overview.html

I'm 100% sure they're using Jio Network!

So while its not exactly Jio Fiber, it should be same thing?

I sometimes get confused by such articles. Here's this part:
According to the IDFC analysis, at 50% capacity utilization, Jio would be able to garner Rs 5,06,250 million in revenues and ARPU of Rs 300 per month after three years. By the same time, Jio's EBITDA will reach Rs 2,27,813 million.

Now with 608 mil GB capacity, the 50% utilization will be 304 million GB which at 3GB Avg per user, means 100 mil subscribers. But if I go by the 100-120 mil users and 300 ARPU it stands at 30,000 - 36,000 million rupees in revenue. And if you go by 5,06,250 million in revenues and divide by 100-120 mil users its nearly 5k ARPU

506250 million revenue with Average usage of 300 per month equates to 1687 million users

506250 million revenue with Average usage of 300 per month equates to 1687 million users

more than the current population of the country?

thats what the article says!! guess we should not have our demats with IDFC!

Where does IDFC says that 506250 million revenue will be on per month basis? It says " Rs 5,06,250 million in revenues and ARPU of Rs 300 per month after three years" , which in my view means that in three years it will be able to get this much revenue.

So number of Users required with ARPU 300 per month will be 1687 divided by 36 , that's around 46-47 million Users.

If we consider revenue figure on yearly basis (industry norm), the number of subscriber shall be around 140 million to reach mentioned figure.
