Video Which 4K Android TV Box for Prime Videos and Kodi?

Mi TV Box 3.. Recently got Orea update.
I am not able to find the Mi TV Box 3 on Amazon.com. Some reviews of Mi TV Box (not sure if it is 3 or not) quoted that Amazon Prime Videos need to be side loaded and does not work properly.[DOUBLEPOST=1531308813][/DOUBLEPOST]
If from the US, please try to get the nVIDIA Shield Pro. Not only is it future proof, but it has an internal HDD as well for storing movies.

nVIDIA Shield Pro is $300 which over the budget that I wanted to spend (<$100). Does Amazon Prime Videos work from India on the Shield?

When I was looking to get Roku, the support guys from Roku said that Roku will not work from India as they have not yet launched it in India.

Roku will work, but its a hit and miss for the US channels.

If you cannot get the PRO, look for the cheaper non PRO and attach USB HDD. It is quite feature rich and has custom ROM support as well. Pretty sure that it has all the big names.

Does attaching the USB HDD serve the following purposes?

1. Download Amazon Prime Videos for offline viewing via Prime Videos on the Shield?
2. Can the attached USB HDD be used as an external media drive for Kodi?

I need to spend some time on Shield features. Look like it will have a good Wife Acceptance Factor.

1. I would say yes, and that the shield will have adoptable storage. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answ...o-increase-your-internal-storage-on-shield-tv

2. Yes.

3. LOL.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately there seems to be no support for Amazon Prime Videos.
I have sideloaded amazon prime apk (the shield one) and it plays 1080p flawlessly and I guess it also supports 4k (i can't test as I don't have 4k tv). I don't think the apk supports offline viewing when comes to android box. Same applicable for nvidia shield as well.

If you have the money, go for nvidia shield version, else mi tv box would be a cheaper alternative.

Yes. Thinking of going for Shield TV.

Do you have a screen grab or picture, since I find it hard to believe since it only gives 480p in my mi box international version Or am i doing something wrong.

yes the shield version, I tried one in october that did give 1080p but had to use a mouse for navigation since not all menus worked and only grand tour video worked not any other content, since it was a US version of the apk, the one i tried a few weeks back worked without mouse but only plays in 480p.

I personally use the Amazon Fire TV 2nd Gen (luckily found in a supermarket long after amazon discontinued it and even refurbs were discontinued).
I have Kodi installed on it but don't use much except one addon for hindi movies. I use Netflix, Amazon Prime and I have tons of apps like Terrarium TV etc for shows / movies and many Live TV Channel apps (since I am outside India currently).
I really like that remote is simple, has software remote too (on phone app i mean), does not need line of sight. Have sideclick remote with it for my TV.

You can get Shield TV like others said too.

Just don't go for some generic android tv box as those usually don't play netflix etc in full HD or not even 720p sometimes.
