Mobo for Ryzen 3700X - Future Proofing

I need to upgrade my rig to a 3700X and need a good mobo which supports Wifi. Any suggestions please? Currently have a 1660 Super which will be upgraded in the future to a 2070 Super or even 3070.

How are the VRM's on MSI? I was looking at a X570 or a B550 mobo and leaning more towards Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus Wifi since the VRM's on that board are pretty good.

The VRMs on the MSI B450 board particularly Gaming Pro Carbon Max are top notch and the only limitation on the non max board is its bios chip which comes with 16MB chip rather a 32MB chip on all MAX boards.

TUF B550m/B550, either would be good enough for anything from a 3100-3950x

Btw if you havent commited any money on the amd platform as of now I would suggest taking a look at Intel i7 10700 non K and a b460m mortar wifi.
Thats what Im using rn and the proccy is giving me constant clocks of 4.6-4.7ghz after setting its power limit to 165w while staying under 75 degrees on 100% load.

nope, haven't committed anything yet. Intel, duh !! lol ... let me take a look though. Thanks!!

Idk how much synthetic benchmarks matter but my 3Dmark Timespy score with a 10700+2060Super is pretty much comparable to a 3600x+2070super. Both tests had the same rams, etc.

LOL.

What is 165watt limit compared to 95watt limit of 3700X even though overclocked.
Nobody would nowadays go with Intel unless its absolutely required with their requirement.

I have manually increased its power limit so it can maintain constant 4.65ghz on all cores.
Not smart comparing it with a stock chip.
And a lot of people still go with intel, irrespective of the market trend. For me it was motherboard availability.

I hope this fixes any confusion regarding how efficient intel's 14nm is against amd's 7nm

No AMD even crossed Intel in several aspects this year and even its share value increased several fold compared with Intel.

Thats what I am saying
When we compare with a stock chip of AMD we need to increase the frequency of Intel chip for it to maintain a constant speed where as AMD chips maintains the same speed without overclocking even right.

What made me feel happy is that monopoly of Intel is over and out.

I dont get the purpose of the essay that you wrote, bud. Especially when the benchmarks and power figures are easily available with a few google searches.
But, yeah, some competition in market generally ends up benefitting the customers.

Lastly, OP cannot go wrong with either of those two. But, good luck getting a b550 rma'd with the current supply situation.

I got my MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC mobo RMAed in the month of May and got a new sealed piece from their main service center located in New Delhi.
I got my mobo replaced by taking the help from Reddit MSI rep who helped me very much.

I think by doing the same one can get their components replaced easily.

MSI service history went from bad to worse in India and I almost lost hopes in March when I sent the Mobo for RMA and quoted the same in Reddit and out of now where MSI Reddit rep came forward and helped me get a replacement mobo quickly and I informed about the same in both the forums ie TE and Digit where I was before informed and warned that MSI service have gotten worse while I bought a MSI mobo.
So I informed about the MSI reddit rep who is helping everybody get replacements.

PS: I am writing this essay only to convey that though MSI service history became worse it rectified by taking some measures where by it got back the end users confidence back by helping them in RMA as such.

This is where Intel lost its end users confidence by looting the customers year after year by releasing the same processors by renaming them as "refresh" processors.

I am neither smart nor intelligent because all my grades are below average but I read reviews and listen to several YouTube videos before taking a decision while buying PC components.

Intels single core performance is always better but AMD is always ahead in multi core or multi tasking performance where Intel cannot compete with its core to core comparison.

Nobody in any of the forums not even while suggesting laptops are advising Intel nowadays leave desktops buddy.
Can you please share a single benchmark where 3700x beats i7 10700?
Tbh 10700 even comes with an inbuilt gpu.
Also, Idk how does para phrasing conjecture and voicing personal opinions work against an evidence of simple, clear numbers.

Lastly I have used the b450 pro carbon AC myself and I wouldnt suggest that mobo.
Its pci circuitry is a joke. And those vrms are just as capable as that of a b550m pro vdh. The Nahimic audio software sucks major b**ls.
And who can forget the lame 16mb bios chip its rocking.

Also abt the msi service, etc. I admit that Rahul is a super helpful guy but even he cannot guarantee a b550 replacement in the current situation.
