4k TV buying advice please

Interesting. On checking makers, importers etc detail. Marq by Flipkart and Nokia is made by same company. Motorola and samsung got some connection

The Marq one is going for 20k, but it wouldn't have good sound. Nokia one seemed good but the blacks seemed clumped but could just be the shooting camera.

Both will have same quality, as flipkart just got the name license and selling it as Nokia.

Nokia don't manufacture any TV!!

Why not they make it mandatory to give out these details and not say it is the greatest, most wonderful, breath taking technology out there :D So that we can make informed decision.

It would be helpful if they give what panel they are using in the model if not the same model. So we can compare using actual proper reviews. From some research, I think HiSense A71F seems like the best cheap 4k one. The cheap 2020 one thats sold in America has poor angles and brightness, so it seems this one is a different panel. 43in one was 24k at launch and 27k now. However there a lot of reviews with dark patches on borders on Amazon page. Its also assembled in India. A bit risky to buy. Another OK one seems to Onida Fire TV, but its only 1080p, its IPS and pretty bright for it though. Could have the Amazon cloud game platform too. But buying a 1080p TV now, not sure. Some I'd like to know more about are the newer Sanyo and Nokia models. The cheapest big company one is the Samsung Wondertainment at 35k, but I can't find any good review of it. Also quality of Indian tech reviews YT and sites is very low, mostly filled with spam and low quality content and cringe

Its interesting to note 50in HiSense H8G is available on best buy for 380$ (around 28k) and H9G is 650$ (47k) but theres no QLED in India and the normal ones are overpriced. The H8G is a sure buy at that rate. Don't know why companies don't sell the same models in India, maybe its related to taxes and some make in India stuff. Maybe HiSense will launch cheaper QLED here

Thinking about projectors. Is it a good idea to invest 30k range business projectors for movie watching. Like benq MW550 with WXGA resolution

so instead of creating a new thread for 2020 i thought of commenting on this one . Even i am looking for a new 4k tv 50 to 55 inches my budget is within 1lakh .. The primary purpose is that the tv is a second monitor to my pc ... so will be gaming on it watching movies etc. And also am planning to buy a ps5 in the future any suggestions or recommendations ? The only tv that i found in this budget with 120hz refresh rate is the Samsung Frame 55" tv although its not a priority to have 120hz because we dont know when game will use it on the ps5

Sony X90H or X95G will also fit that budget. Later has no 120 hz support though.

If budget permits OLEDs are the way to go. LG BX and CX are great. LEDs can't compare simple as that whatever they (samsung) market about qleds. Not saying they are bad, the qleds and sony x9x series are pretty good tvs too but oleds are still better. Only issue might be or burn-in but current crop of oleds have less of that.

Budget is a lakh.

yes have been looking at the sony x90h which right now is coming to 1.04 lakh ... any other suggestions within or below 1 lakh would be appreciated .. Also wanted to ask is 4k 120 really that big of a deal ? or is it like kind of a future proof kind of thing ?

You'll get cashback over it via ICICI/HDFC no cost EMI. I recently bought the X95G, got 15% cashback upto 15k. The showroom I bought from (Vijay Sales) quoted the price for X90H as 97k without any bargaining. At that point (not even a week back), would have received 15% CB over it (14.5k-ish).
I think the 15k CB offer is over now, but some amount of cashback should still there.
Get the billed price lower though. 1.04L is high.

Those are awesome prices.

I couldn't get it to go for less than 1.35L for 55CX. Noida.
