CPU/Mobo Does anyone have ryzen gen 1 silicon degradation?

My 1400 used to be able to do 3.8 ghz and now the best it can do is 3.65

My old 1700 has been doing 3.9 from day one till it was retired. Never had this issue. Was running at 1.325v right from day one.

I reckon I went a bit overboard on the voltage. I was at 1.35 or 1.375 and they temps were usually 80 degrees. It was my first time building a PC, so lesson learnt.

I had a liquid cooler - so temperatures were almost always below 70.

Never heard about such degradation but the aging and voltage might had took too much toll!

no, anything above 3.7 and above is unstable on any voltage.
