Cockroaches mayhem

Hey guys

We all suffer from cockroach menace in kitchen but yesterday night I was shocked to observe this.

Sometimes we used to observe occasional cockroach on the fridge body and even though maintaining high level of hygiene hasn't helped much, I decided to investigate and found this shocking observation.

I own this Samsung fridge just a year old. No warranty except for compressor 10yr old.
And what I observed is that cockroaches live inside this metal thing. The gap which I highlighted is their hiding spot.
This is so weird and terrible that this creature will make home anywhere on the earth.
I wonder what if this plate is removed what lies beneath might be shocking. Cant even imagine.
But can we DIY and remove this plate for cleaning purpose?

I know we shouldn't spray Hit or similar sprays in such critical zones.

But can I use those laxman rekha chalk at least?

I just want to get rid of the cockroaches from my fridge esp. from such critical components spots.

They also hide in gaps of mixer and grinder as well and when it is turned on one or two comes out.
Kindly suggest.

HIT sells a paste for killing cockroaches. See: https://www.godrejhit.com/products/hit-anti-roach-gel.

We used to get similar stuff in white paste form. I used to buy it via ebay.in in the old days. The way it works is that cockroaches eat the paste and die. Other cockroaches eat the dead ones (I guess that is why they are surviving for so long) and die too. It was very effective. I used to apply the paste once every 3 months.

I am not sure how the HIT paste works though.

After having tried pest control and various chemicals, what worked was creating boric acid + flour baits. You can watch videos on YT on how to create them

Thanks for responses but seems none got my question.
The cockroaches are hiding in that backplate of the refrigerator, I want something which can be applied there and make it insect-free..shoo all cockroaches without costing anything to the appliance.

I'm not sure how safe is it to spray hit, apply chalk or hit anti roach gel.
I'm clueless atm.

I guess you are not getting the responses. If you apply the paste, the cockroaches will come and feed on it and eventually die. When they are dead they cannot hide in that backplate of the refrigerator anymore.

I agree with @skoka123 here.
It seems you are the one confused here my friend :)

Hit gel is a nest killer with a delayed trigger.
Apply the gel near the fridge or even on the plate itself.
Cockroaches feed on it, go to their usual hideout, then the delayed effect kicks in and spreads to any cockroach in contact and kills them too.

Please read more on Hit website >> https://www.godrejhit.com/products/hit-anti-roach-gel

If you are still not getting the picture, here is a funny yet effective visual representation.
Although the video is about termite spray, Hit gel works in a similar way.

I am not bothered with cockroaches as there is almost none of them in the house but what to do with bloody lizards? Any idea? Even the sight of them just disgusts the F outta me. Tried every BS, putting egg this that none worked.

Nope, sorry but you are wrong. We are insect/ pest phobic people and would do anything to keep these filths out. Would have killed all of them lizards too if I weren't disgusted by them and reach near them.
Lizard are best left alone as if you try to shoo them they panic and become aggressive and if messed can go into places you never want them to..
In fact they are of good help keeping cockroaches and similar insects at bay.
Also, you will find them only during midnight time that when they feast...

Lizards dont survive in cold and chilly conditions (they require warmth hence they reside with humans) so if they are in your bedroom AC will help but in kitchen, hall and toilets there's no easy way out..

Similarly cockroaches and many other insects need heat to survive and breed so no wonder bedbugs, cockroaches, lizards, spiders, ants etc. all like to stay with us inside our homes either we like them or not..
But creepy insects like centipedes, worms, earthworms etc. need moisture to survive and breed hence they are too much common only during monsoons or in area with lots of moisture.. gardens, wet pots, sources of waters etc.

Lizards and all other animals will live where there's a source of food available. You've got a pest problem - ants/cockroaches/termites - that you aren't aware of. The lizards -"the filth" that disgusts you - are probably the reason you aren't seeing all the other creepy crawlies.

I agree... While I have no issue with lizards, my dad creeps out like anything. He will open all doors, windows so that they they quitely escape from any open space. As a result, this has led to increase in cockroaches, especially in kitchen. Will be taking some cues mentioned here.

Yeah I mean you can try assuming about MY HOME but you are always going to remain wrong, like I said. There's no problem with any pests as we are pest phobic, (Raid, liquid baygon and Hit and other BS cans cost so much that I cannot stand it anymore anyway) so it's out of question that pests can survive in our house. I have killed more than a hundred lizards myself by using coconut jhadu or half a can raid but problem is I cannot kill the big ones, only small ones (which are just born from the ****ing eggs). I must kill the big ones, that's why I asked for advice. Anyway, thanks, but no thanks I guess.

As mentioned earlier in my post, give them an opening from where they can exit. If you keep all windows, doors closed they will continue to remain in that place.
I never had issues with lizards.. they come like once in a blue moon, they go as they please.

I have used and all lizards gone. I put them in multiple places and they come and stick to it. It took a few weeks for me to get rid of all those lizards.
