While you guys are using high quality mechanical watches, Apple watch etc...here I am with an old, absolute bottom of barrel, dirt cheap fitness band...and pretty happy with it. Please don't ask about those black strings..they are supposed to save me from bad spirits.

Seems those black strings are working as they have kept you away from buying high end watches

Nothing wrong though. I used to wear those when I was younger as my mom wanted me to and I believed as well. Post marriage I stopped it. All is good if it makes us or partner happy

I just wanted a high end android watch and budget wasn't a problem. And the pre-order began around the same time and the reviews were mostly positive I got it.
And I got the 44mm one due to the larger battery.

Why not the Watch 4 classic ?

Well, some Seikos like Alpinist, Presage and Prospex do sell for $1000+ easily. I think you meant to imply SKXs here.

600 for that is stupid though. Add another 200 and you can pick up an Alpinist or a Sarb033. Both much better specced watches than an SKX.

I mean, an Orient Kamasu is 1/3 the price and still better specced. Even Seiko themselves make better divers around 500.
