Our ambient temperature are much higher compared to those reviewers. I am not interested in hot chips and coolers making noise to keep them cool. Anyways next few years should be good for pc buyers with such strong competition across the board. Raptor Lake vs Zen4/Zen43D. Meteor Lake vs Zen4c/Zen5. Arrow Lake vs AMD Zen Next.

totally, GN tested in ambient temp of 22*C. which is 15*c less then average indian ambient temp.
that 95*c in 8 seconds by design sets me off.
95* - fans running at full speed all the times.
factor in the electricity requirement. 250w CPU, 450W GPU.. damn that minimum 1400w PSU. We are certainly walking against the "green energy" revolution.
why not 5900x with additional 4 cores, and bigger cacheall hail 5800x3D

The temperature inside the house doesn't go that high. Weather stations measure the temperature out in the open (albeit, in shade). It's a lot cooler inside our houses.
When the weather reports are showing 38°C in Mumbai, the temperature in my house remains around 31°C. I have never seen it go beyond 31.
I have always had a clock with temperature sensor in my house (in Kolkata and Chennai as well) and it has always been the same.
That said, 8 degrees still makes a significant difference.

ASUS ProArt X670E-Creator seems like the only board that has PCIE slots AND 10GBe under $500

So much for next gen compatibility (even which will be lower than last time). LOL! I can buy a decent AlderLake/Raptor Lake Mobo and can upgrade again to next gen compared to buying expensive AM5 boards. Buy 5800X3D if on AM4 and wants to upgrade. If buying fresh get raptor lake or alder lake.
These are launch prices, we all know early adoption is costly. Just wait 6 months and prices will be comparable to current gen components taking performance into account.

Err I get they are launch prices, but look at the launch prices of the previous generation. Just the MoBo prices are super high, the CPU prices are same or better. Paying HEDT prices for non HEDT features.

@Ramadhir Singh got your answer ,For gaming and people who already own am4 5800x3d is the closest to new gen .My personal favorite too is 5900x but 5800x3d out guns it in games.
and regarding amd pushing higher temp limit. AMD have confirmed 95 degree is ok for 24X7 it wont degrade cpu life. Current 7k series is bluff thrown by amd against intels next series the real amd processor would be with x3d variants of the newly launched procs i think this would be AMD TiC- TOC theory of processor launches similar to what Intel did in their core i series

Boss, not about being costly. Just look at the increase in prices. Even regular stuff like the Asrock Steel legend which was for $200 for X570 is for at least $300 for X670.
On the high-end the X570 Godlike was $700 and the X670 variant is over $1200

I will just grab some AM4 12 cores when prices go down.
I'm afraid that's not the case this time. AMD did announce last month that AM4 mobos will start from $129 or something.
thats i'm thinking as well. will get 5950 and workstation class asus mobo + used 3080, - life set for another 5-7years just for approx 1L.
No problem going with AM5 cpu, but apart from CPU relative costs for other components are 3x priced.
I don't have time of 6month waiting for pricing stabilisation, where as AM4 is dead end, and abandoned platform in coming months they will have no value and price will fall rapidly.
