So, here's my encounter with a so-called greedy idiot member who offered to help me in my passionate hobby to complete one project.
He himself contacted me via pm and gradually it turned into a good interaction on whatsapp before he showed his true character.
Never knew that a person changes colors as instantly as a chameleon when the sole motive behind offering to help is nothing but a sheer greed and a cunning mind while taking unfair advantage by exploiting the needy and trying to make the most of the situation while completely loot the needy for one's greed and shattering all the hopes and even costing him a good deal elsewhere.
So, he offered to help aka sell me an item for a fair price which I was looking for. Most importantly he said he isn't looking for profits, motive was purely to help.
During the chat, he said he has more of such stuff and started sharing pics and I was interested in few of them, and he said he can meet in a few days with all the stuff and have a onetime deal. I was like fine that will be cool!
When he contacted me the next day he had a different outlook. He said he cannot sell that item alone but only as a set of 6 and that too at scalping pricing with some bargaining value and this was it, the wtf moment.
I made him understand and was very transparent that I already have 90% stuff from that set, yet he then started forcing on me to buy the entire set that too at inflated scalping prices where earlier agreement was only for a single commodity for a fair pricing.
When I confronted him, he shamelessly says no money exchanged means no commitment hence no deal! See his principles and greediness here.
And between all this, just two days ago I had already received an offer for the exact stuff from someone outside the forum, but I denied it as I had already committed to this guy (which was my biggest mistake and regret)
This really pissed me off as I obviously started to look at this person as someone with zero moral values tbh.
Why shall someone force someone to buy stuff he already has aka buy doubles where the original deal was just for a single item?
Still, I gave it a thought and as he already said some negotiation is possible, so I quoted him a price just 500 bucks less and was ready to sacrifice aka take a loss of literally a good 4.6k extra buying doubles just to get that single piece. To which he hasn't replied till date.
Even if he had hiked the price for that single item I could have thought and went with that but changing the entire direction of the deal was simply not done.
He wanted to deal only on his own terms right from the start till end and he thought that as a collector he can exploit me the way he wants and kept trying to loot money with is greedy motives and his greed kept him turning away from his own words. I called him but he doesn't even have the courtesy let alone the guts to even callback and better deal on a call but rather preferred tiny wini whatsapp chatting instead.
Now, I had lost both the deals just because I stood true to my commitment towards this fool, an arrogant, greedy, cunning, kiddish member.
He wasted my valuable time in fact raising hopes then crushing down for his own greed. I was always open for negotiations but not to coerce into something unworthy.
I have the entire whatsapp conversation but don't want to disclose here nor want others to rant over it as have 99.9% exposed that guy & his deeds here except his name..

- A totally valueless person.
- A person who doesn't keeps up with his own words and commitments and the one who only thinks of milking the maximum via exploitation with pathetic business principles.
- The most cunning and greediest persons around I ever encountered here having no self-integrity let alone his conscience. When he got to know the stuff is worth a fortune these days, he clearly started exploitation.
- Its people like him who first praise, raise hopes of someone who is innocent & hopeful, agrees upon something initially & then totally turns up as the greed to earn goes into their head & then simply forces the person to buy something in the name of a set of which the person already owns the stuff. And moreover, costing that buyer another deal which he declines because he has agreed something with such a seller on a mutual basis.
- We might have few people around trying to be a Good guy but with cunning nature and cruel intentions.
- Would advise to such people better don't offer your help around. Better live your olx life elsewhere as you fit there and not here spoiling the forums integrity.
- If you can't stick to your words & only want to get greedy exploiting the needy then better don't offer your so-called fake trap help & play with the innocent hopes of the needy.

Admins can verify the timing of the wa msgs, my private msgs on te and when I actually got a msg from @dhoomketu and sold it. I never reached out to anyone else after confirming to zino and before cancelling the deal. My only advise is to be civil. We can move mountains if we are polite. You keep posting insinuations without proof. You posted in my FS thread. I don't like reminding or pestering people. If someone doesn't reply to a msg I assume they have lost interest and feel it's polite to ignore unless materially urgent.
Next step was payment pending. I replied asap to your msg that post payment I will pack and ship. You didnt pay. Didn't ask my upi if confused. You ignored. I didn't even have the time to ask other members on te if they want to buy after I had said yes to you and before I cancelled the deal. You can't demand someone to pack his/her item before the payment. That's a rule that at least I always follow if someone feels otherwise then it's an entitlement and nothing else.
all my deals happened that way. entitlement or not. Past experience! because i have seen most people do not value others time. i do.
in this case the msg was on tuesday. and i am the one who reminded him . so today is thursday. so yuo can imagine.

Sadly, this is not the first time a member has complained about Zino flexing his ratings.
I'm just surprised there are people willing to accept these conditions.
Ratings are only an indicator. People with more ratings can't demand special privileges.

Had I known about his past behavior I wouldn't have even bothered to reply to his dm. Sad that te rules let such members get away with such acts and other members are none the wiser when dealing in the future.
BTW, proc in question sold to @dhoomketu. I guess this thread gave me some free advertising

@Zino zino, just to address what you said a few posts earlier, if you weren't intending to act entitled that's great. However, as you can see here from the dozen replies, that's what it came across as. Take it as an opportunity for introspection, and ask yourself honestly if you were seeking to influence the way a deal is handled by providing your ratings as some sort of proof, or maybe you are not the best at communicating.
This is me being very frank btw and not trying to pile on with the negative comments. Just a hope that it will lead you to some thought and maybe some positive outcomes from the very critical feedback you've received here.

Sir, there is no use responding again and again as its akin to feeding a troll. Just Report any one of the offending posts to the admin and then hit Ignore. You will find - nirvana, bliss and maybe even unlock the elixir of immortality !
This. We all are judging @Zino from how he is writing here on this thread. Yes, it looks bad now but all this is his anger/frustration stemming from the fact that he was abruptly blocked by the seller. Let's take a time to look back at how his demeanour was on his WhatsApp DM. Initially, he had asked the seller "How are you" before initiating the deal related conversation. That's a very caring gesture, and I'd say a rather rare one.
Things took a bad turn once he wrote "Pack and send images from all sides". That line could be written like this : "Could you pack the thing and send me the images, if that's okay with you?" The messages before that have been deleted so we can't say for sure what exactly had been sent; I am forming my opinion on what I am see. It'd then be upon the seller to either deny such a proposal before payment or give the buyer his assurance that the packaging would be immaculate.
Another thing is that the buyer should always ask the seller for the payment info/method before discussing anything regarding packing. It's not wrong to have a preference like Zino has; to ensure that the packaging is to his liking, before he finalizes the deal. But the communication gap coupled with the way he words his lines kinda worked against him here. Maybe things wouldn't look this bad if he communicated in Hindi.
Let's not villify @Zino here. We are humans and we can make mistakes. And we all learn and grow from that.
Request the buyer and the seller to not escalate this any further.

These occurrences persist, with certain individuals interpreting your suggestions as mere opinions and subsequently criticizing you for your attempts to be helpful or truthful. This happened with me when I was trying to give suggestions - something related to purchasing a GPU.
