The "Everyday" show-off thread !

Finally decided to keep the Arctic Freezer III and upgrade to a better cabinet. Bought Corsair Frame 4000D. Corsair knows how to manufacture a cabinet. Screws, Panels , Build Quality, everything is top notch. Reminds me of my 600T which I bought in 2011.

Agreed. I still use my old Corsair 780T full tower as a media server PC at home and even after 8 long years of use it's still one of the best cases I have built a system in. Spacious, roomy, great airflow, lots of fan mounts, has multiple HDD bays... Corsair sure do put good thought into designing most of their cases.

Actually it was for afterburner that I read initially
, might not be much but there's a little here
This is actually real.

Afterburner monitors a ton of sensors by default( even if you dont use it in OSD) including power percent ( which has the worst impact = 10-20x vs others ).
These sensors are probed even when osd is toggled off.

Some posts on reddit said that stuttering issues only happens when you are cpu limited. In my case i am not cpu limited at 4k with 3080, don't think i had stuttering.
I did not check fps but i disabled a lot of them and that reduced my gpu temps by couple of degrees at the same fan speed !

There is a profiler in afterburner, click detach to see graphs and then right click and enable profiler panel. This will show cost of each active sensor.
Mine was around 20ms total, which went to 4ms when i removed stuff that i did not use and now its under 1ms with a more minimal osd.
Can always enable when i actually need to see something.
So same problem will also be there if you run hwinfo or similar. This is not msi bug. Best to use those only to diagnose problems.

Good boost over the GRE?
Upto 50% in raster, much more in RT + DLSS4 + lower power draw (decided to UV it with stock like performance instead of trying to get another 10% uplift).

Say for FF VII Rebirth, fps was dropping below 60fps in many cases at 1440p maxed settings but able to run it easily at native 4K now. Black Myth Wukong saw a solid 50% uplift in benchmark numbers (non RT).
