Many ppl opened DBS India bank acc back in 2017-18 when it was giving Rs.500 as referral bonus & it was zero balance acc then. My friend also opened one. After that they imposed MAB of 5k somewhere in 2021/22 & now it is increased to 10k MAB so many closed the acc but some are still keeping it. DBS India bank also later acquired Laxmi Vilas Bank to bail it out as per RBI directions so all the LVB customers & branches became a part of DBS India bank & that's around when they launched their credit cards too which my friend also got after keeping his DBS bank acc even after 10k MAB condition. In all these years though I have never found any good deal which was only available using DBS card (debit/credit) & in my experience getting dbs bank acc nowadays only for card discount is a waste.

Yup, this is correct. I got the email as well.
They've increased cashback on Myntra to 7.5%.
Lounge access is being discontinued on most lower end cards. Expected given the crowds that were forming at airport lounges over the last 3-4 years.
get SBI cashback, untill its devalued, its hands down the best card for cashback right now
That is why I tell people who ask me to order from Flipkart and want immediate cashback that I will only give once it reflects in my bank account.
I know yeh saale kabhi bhi palat sakte hai. I may end up paying from my own pocket .
This is now the next card in line to be devalued, maybe before this year's GIS sale on amazon which has SBI as partner for last few years.
Another important point though not of much relevance to ppl in this thread as it is all shopping related txns here.

Holder of both bank account and CC, its actually pretty good. Even gone to their office in Fort. Initially was digibank.
The were giving Spark5 CC LTF, has BMS BOGO which my brother uses every month.
spend categories are identified via MCC, MCC was literally made for this only, let's see how they plan to implement it

That was for the "ideal scenario" but enough ppl gamed the system so now it is going to be a bit more lines of code in the software of CC companies which will assign a txn category based on txn narration/reference received from payment gateway instead of the earlier simple instruction of just assigning category based on mcc from payment gateway/merchant. What it basically means is that ppl will not get cb/points for non-genuine txns relying on MCC tricks/loopholes & ppl who don't get cb/points for genuine txns will need to submit their proof of txn to receive which obviously only genuine users will do. In fact my friend did something similar with DBS bank a few years back where their system didn't give gift voucher as per offer T&C & he had to submit the proof of those txns in the form of original invoice (the one with GST) along with all the txn details to get it.
