Graphic Cards Are you guys using your GPUs to mine?

If I take risk with my aging 1060 which is out of warranty it might simply die so No, no mining for me as of now though I did try in 2017 and lost interest after 6 months

I would disassemble the hell out of the heat sync. Clean up everything with isopropyl alcohol. Clean all the dust off the fans. Get good quality thermal pads and thermal paste. Re-paste and reapply the thermal paste and the assemble it again. Would see drastic temp improvements. I did it with one of my out of warranty rx 570 and temps were down by 10 degrees.
Only thing sucks is that it voids the warranty if you do this to your in warranty GPU in India (all brands including NVIDEA). Otherwise would've done it to my GPUs.

Its too much hassle when the gain would be somewhere round 100rs per day. Not worth the trouble specially in these times if your GPU goes boom then get ready to pay 25k for 1650 lol

Actually my suggestion was more focused on getting better temps. Since your gpu is out of warranty, you can do the cleanup without worrying. Actually I love these mini DIY projects, that's why suggested you to do too :p

I get it bro and its a good suggestion if AMD launched these upcoming APU's I would have tried but not at the moment

Not interested. My neighbour is into mining since ages, and nearly convinced my dad to make money in bitcoin. I see the swings and its more volatile than the stock markets!

Would be interesting to see how this shakes up the gpu market.
Chinese mining firm Bitmain has released a teaser of the company's upcoming Antminer E9 Ethereum miner. The company stated that the Antminer E9 would launch very soon, although it didn't commit to a specific date.

Just read the last line, lol. I don't think you know what's been happening.

I used my RTX 2080Super to mine using Nice hash. I used to get around 300 rs a day (undervolted the GPU to reduce the temps). So, currently have around 4000 rs in my NiceHash wallet , I had stopped mining after 3 weeks because I lost interest. ... I actually have an RX570 and an RX580 gathering dust, might get back to mining using these 2 cards but I guess I have to figure out how to use 2 cards on the same setup for mining. Also electricity is not an issue for me as my house is completely solar powered .

That's what I'm dreaming of, setting up solar panels. So that I can remain under air condition for as long as I want. Till date however I've no clue how to set it up or what's the estimated expenditure for the same!
