Amex you can get fee waiver most times
Continuing Vistara Infinite since they stopped renewing CV Gold after first year? Only reason for me to close VI was so that i'll apply next year for AI Gold which is SA Gold

Yes got to know recently. Will call amex team in a few days for waiver.
Gave VI a chance, hoping they give AI gold for existing customers after merger. Anyways the business class ticket compensates for the fees.

How to get AI gold??
