Felt it was a snoozefest product launch. Tired, speakers felt unconvincing, even Craig didn't feel right. Event was jumping all over the place - earlier events really focused on HW, but here lot of time devoted to AI - nothing new, all features talked about at WWDC.
Very un-Apply presentation.
Surprising none of them are able to match HDFC'S discounts over these years. 7-10k vs 5k max now. Shame.

As far as i figured out 5k discount is with No Cost EMI only
Wait for BBD or pre-diwali time they'll increase the discount, I think 5k is generous considering pre-order and what not
Indeed, snoozefest. Only bits I liked are,
- Hearing aid feature in existing product (APP2)
- A18 proccy of the non-pro phones. It would theoretically come closer to CPU and GPU performance of A18 Pro in absolute numbers. But it would not have those extra bits like larger cache, ML accelerators, Media controller (ProMotion, ProRes, AoD, USB3), Video encoder and ISP.

Generous? It's a business, nothing generous. HDFC always had higher discounts. Heck, see the article by Ken on HDFC and Apple - HDFC was bearing most of the cost for 4+ years , and that's why they paused their relationship with Apple. With the new entrants, discounts are poor. At least with HDFC, one could get iPhone and Plus models at par with international prices, now even base models are costlier. Pros were always segmented differently in India (artificial high pricing).
AI forced Apple to push A18 on base models. I'm sure they will go back to CPU/GPU segmentation in a couple of years (and also differentiating on AI features in non Pro and Pro models).
True. The forced differentiation is gone for a gen or two.

Confirm as in? I've bought 3 iPhones with HDFC discount. Ranged from 8k-10k.
on apple.com HDFC had 6k off once rest of the times it was always 5k

I got email hence shared here.
It is only 5000 off on 16 and 16 Pro 8000 would be for Mac and the offer is valid on apple.com and a few other resellers too.
