Credit Card Help Desk: Answers to Your Questions!

Neu infinity already does not make much sense considering the yearly fee. If you have it LTF, its a different story altogether. I am anyway planning to close mine before renewal.

So how does this work if you move across tiers? Suppose you move from Insider to Elite, do you earn 3% or 5% for the next 1 year? Do you earn 3% up to the point you become a Legend and 5% for the next year after that? Or do they decide your tier based on the spends of the previous calendar year?

It seems tier upgrade & benefit upgrade is in real time & any tier is valid till 1 year from the date of achieving that tier unless upgraded to a higher tier & then the date resets to that upgraded tier start date.

I wash to buy a product from amazon sale through SBI CC to avail discount. My CC limit is below product final price and I tried to add money to that sbi card account by bbps/amazon pay but I received this message.

Dear Cardholder, payment of Rs.6,750.00 made towards your SBI Credit Card XXXXX on 26-09-24 could not be processed as the amount paid is more than the outstanding amount. Your payment has been returned to the source account. To check your outstanding amount, login to our Website / Mobile App.

Any other way to allow this transaction. ?
Note that Credit card last bill is 0 and full limit is available

No way to overpay now. Dont know why SBI is so stingy with the limit. I got my card approved today and I saw that they only gave 20k.

Hi all, I hope this is the right space to ask this question.

I noticed the 1.2k debit interest charges in the recent Axis CC statement. I looked closer and found that the auto-debit facility had somehow decided to pay only 13.5k of the total 15.3k due, despite my account having plenty of balance. Been using auto-debt for several years and this is the first time this has happened. Still, charging 1.2k for the remaining 1.8k feels excessive. I looked into their charges and it seems they charged me for the whole 15k. Can they do this? I've sent them a msg on Twitter and asked them to reverse the charges. So far "they're working on my concern." In the meantime what are the rules in this situation? I want to be prepared.

I would suggest you visit your home branch if possible.
Things escalate much faster offline, atleast here in sbi

Does it have to be home branch? My home branch is kinda far away and I'm a bit under the weather. I'd still like to know any particular rules I need to be aware of in this situation.

Suupose i have a 1 lkh limit.
I buy something worth 60k.
Now i have 40k left, and later i want to buy something worth 50k .
Can i just pay the bill for 30k, make my limit 70k again and buy that
50k product?

Will i get charged overlimit fee?

You should be able to. There should not be any overlimit fee. I am planning to do the same with my SBI card as they gave a very low limit. However, let others weigh in too.

yes you can do that.
but how it works if say limit is 1lkh and you bought 60k with EMI/NCEMI.
Is something even i dont know. Because with EMis bank freezes that limit.

So in my case i have an emi of 29k, my limit is 80k
And the item i need to buy is around 20k.
If i clear my limit by oaying the appropriate amount i can theoretically get 50k of my limit back.

that is how it should work but EMIs ka alag chakar hai .
I dont want to give wrong information as I need concrete answer too for this.

Do I need to wait for the transaction to be settled before I make a credit card payment through UPI? Right now I need 15k for a purchase but only have 14k limit left as 6k was spent yesterday. The 6k amount has not been settled yet and shows in-progress in the SBI card app.

No need to wait.
