Jio Prime New Plans (2018- Updates, offers) thread

Kudos to Jio. It is keeping its promise of providing data @20% less than any other provider. :D

    41-50k Laptop under 50,000

I had the same budget and usage as yours and I went to see my options in Nehru Place. Acer Aspire 5 was my first choice but I found Asus Vivobook S15 to be a more complete product and hence bought that(although there is a price difference of 8k). Here's what the Vivobook S15 offers over Aspire...

CPU/Mobo Mobo that can handle AMD FX8320

Hi Folks, My existing mobo (MSI 970a G43) has reached its demise and I'm looking for another mobo. As for my previous mobo it was barely able to handle FX8320. I had to keep the turbo boost off at all times and cap it to 3.5GHz for it to run stably. The VRM would still shoot to 100+ degrees...

    Reliance Jio Rollout

Brother bailing out brother. On the news of RJio acquiring all the assets of RCom, the RCom share has witnessed a rise by leaps and bounds. Its a win-win for both the brothers but a loss for shareholders. Please think twice before investing in this asset-less company.

    21-30k Laptop for basic usage

In 30k budget all laptops will have good enough performance as far as internet and multimedia usage is concerned. Be it a 4th Gen or a 7th gen i3, they will all suffice. However there are other factors which should get our focus more than the processor. IMHO, you have 2 options with which to go...

Jio : New Plans & Even more data (2017)

In my office Jio works great, but today it wasn't even giving 5KBps for browsing. Others had the same issue. Only I know how hard was it to spend the whole day at office. Going home now :D

    90K+ MIning PC 100K

+1 to this. I would also like to add that you can save money on monitor by using something small/2nd hand/lying unused. Also, invest in cooling for the GPUs as multiple GPUs running at their peak for 24/7 will require some good cooling.

News Apple might be intentionally slowing down old iPhones to preserve battery life

I have no problem in believing this. I have experienced my phone become worse in performance after updates. I don't install any updates anymore if my phone is working stable.

    Android Redmi 4 battery life

Making a hotspot does draw a lot of battery. Your overall battery life also depends on your rest of the usage. For example: I trade in stock market using my Redmi Note 3. The screen is constantly on from 10-3pm. I also keep the hotspot on for the same time. It barely lasts me till 6pm. But its...

    Your Gaming Backlog/Progress Report!

Finished Uncharted 3 (7.5/10) The biggest drawback for this game was the standards that its predecessors have set for it. The graphics were amazing considering it runs on a 10 year old hardware(PS3). However, I was slightly underwhelmed with the storyline. Good play nevertheless. Next up on my...

Xbox One X Vs PS4 pro

PS4 pro for the exclusives! Although I would like to make a case for PS4 if you have a full HD TV. Being in the same generation, I don't think there will ever be a game which won't run on PS4 and on the Pro. And there are only a handful of games which really takes advantage of the extra muscle...

51-70k Need help with building PC

+1 for this. Get a GTX 1060. Even if you have to skimp on Case, HDD (using old one maybe?), PSU (a quality 500W will be more than enough)

Snapdragon powered "always-on" laptops are here

I guess it is still doable without any involvement of Qualcomm. Acer(swift 7)and HP(spectre 3) have been fighting on bragging rights for 'World's thinnest laptop' at close to 1cm width. The laptops have a 4.5W TDP processor which is good enough for multimedia and basic computing. Now...

51-70k Flipkart MSI laptop Offer ?

Holy Sh*t! They are giving those specs for 55k! :O For anyone looking for a gaming laptop it is a steal! If gaming is the sole/prime purpose go for it. However, if you need a more well rounded laptop which can game as well, you can look for Asus Vivobook S15. It has a weaker GPU (comes with...

    OlympTrade and IQ Option?

I don't have much knowledge about these apps but If you have these kind of doubts then I'd suggest you don't touch them even with a 10 foot pole. Instead of looking for applications like these why don't you start trading Nifty/Banknifty options? The biggest pro is that SEBI protects the...

0-20k Advice on graphics card to buy and maybe monitor

Exactly my thoughts! Just go for 1050Ti and keep your monitor for as long as it lasts. Better yet, hook it up to your TV and game on it! You'll never go back to monitor sized screens :P

0-20k Need a PC for editing

Bro sure local power supplies can run PCs but the thing is that PSU is one component which shouldn't be skimped on. The good ones come with more robust capacitors which can sustain higher power loads for longer without overheating. Often when power supplies go bad they tends to take other...
