I think the 1GB one would be a better choice as I don't really plan on upgrading later. So its the HD 6850 for me (unless the GTX 460 is available somewhere for the same price). BTW does anyone know which one of the MSI R6850 OR the Sapphire HD 6850 would be a better choice?

Hmmm.. I just took out my GPU from the cabinet (powered it off when the comp had restarted) and noticed that the GPU seems to be burnt or at least thats what it looks like to me (see attached pic). Think it is the GPU that may have overheated?

I do not see great benefits to end users with Android phones. It just seems to be another phone OS that we should consider based on its features. Nothing more. BTW, here is my other thread where this was discussed prior to the news articles mentioned above breaking out.

Hmm... couldn't find one anywhere in Chennai either (did get an assurance that they would have more stock by Diwali though). May no longer be worth getting one now though. Especially with dual-core mobiles set to hit us late next year.
