This is useful when you do transactions using your debit card. It does not ask you for grid numbers. But for normal fund transfer you will have to provide grid numbers.

Had I been using ICICI for all the transactions, I might have remembered the grid numbers. But as I mentioned I shifted to ING and now rarely use ICICI.
