Same GPU & CPU, different monitors

Nope. I looked there before. It's been "Currently unavailable" for some time now. Ah, it's my location. I just checked with another browser without logging in. It's there for 17,349/-. No use for me.

Same GPU & CPU, different monitors

Can't find it anywhere at a reasonable price. The few shops that have it are asking for >25k.

Same GPU & CPU, different monitors

Budget isn't strictly fixed but going for the Acer would push it up by about 3k over the BenQ GW2790Q I was considering. @Kaching999 Thanks, that's very helpful.

Same GPU & CPU, different monitors

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I knew that much. I included the refresh rate just to give an idea of what I was considering. It will still be nice to know how it impacts frame rate. Not only for a buying decision but also as a piece of background knowledge. I've heard good things about this...

Same GPU & CPU, different monitors

This comes from having to help someone choose a monitor but perhaps it has more to do with the associated GPU and CPU. The friend is getting an RTX 4070, Ryzen 9 7900, 32GB RAM and a 27-inch monitor, mainly for video editing and playing MS Flight Simulator. In general, a higher resolution and...

I suggested a 4k model but he decided to stick to FHD.

    Monitors 27-inch monitor suggestions

I haven't bought a new monitor over the past several years and the market as well as user expectations are always changing. I now have to decide on a 27-inch FHD monitor for a close friend who's always depended on me for his hardware requirements. The primary use of the monitor will be for...

Video Help evaluate Mi TV reliability

Thanks for the input. Was it the backlight or something else? To be fair, other brands do fail too. One of my former students in electronics was head of Sony service center for more than 20 years (he's now retired). They always had their hands full with failed Sony products, most of which were TVs.

Video Help evaluate Mi TV reliability

I've bought about a dozen Mi TVs since 2018, both for home and for relatives and friends. Out of those, two of them had the backlight fail - one of them after about 15 months and the other after 4 years. I'd like your help in re-evaluating the reliability of Mi TVs. Is this failure rate...

What is the average demography of TE members?

I turned 73 last November. :D This region is predominantly Christian and the Christmas-New Year season is a big thing here. I got a new PA system last year and, with my family (including grandchildren), nephews and nieces, in-laws, etc., we belted out songs by Boney M, Elvis, Jim Reeves, Abba...

FS: Others HMT Janata (Aftermarket Dial)

My first wristwatch was an HMT Janata. I believe it was the first model made by HMT. My father bought it for me from Delhi in1966 when he went with a delegation to discuss an insurgency that had broken out in my region. At that time, the watch was available only to the armed forces. My father...

Monitors MSI Pro MP223 E2 monitor (or recommended alternatives)

I'm thinking of building a desktop for my wife from old parts that I've accumulated over the years.. I have everything except the monitor. She doesn't need a fancy rig - just something for browsing, youtube, playing music, typing, and the like. From a first quick search, I find that the MSI Pro...

    Buying an active speaker

I want to buy an active speaker system and have my eye on Ahuja XPA-3010DP. Online prices range from 24-28k. Moglix is one of those offering the lower prices. I've long heard of Moglix of course but have never ordered anything from them. Are they reliable in terms of efficient service, quick...

Looking for a free file manager with these features

Let me make one thing clear: The features I listed are not a result of wishful thinking. The program I lost had them all and more. I found it at least 15 years ago and used it many times. Then I downloaded a newer version several years ago and again used it for some time. As to the time...

Looking for a free file manager with these features

I'm looking for a free file manager for Windows that I used to have but lost. Now I can't even remember the name. Here are some of the features that are important for me: - Two-pane side-by-side window (don't remember if it could have more than two panes) - Can show folder sizes, not just...
