i tried swapping them in all the slots but no concrete decision could me made whether the RAM or the mobo is faulty and in case of RAM, which of the two sticks is at fault. once i had to remove and reinsert the RAM modules for about ten times to get back the display. Now running on just one...

use the PC Inspector File Recovery. I used it once and were able to get back some of my deleted files from my pendrive....I don't think u can recover them 100% but atleast u can get some of them..
