PC Peripherals ram prices fell 50%

Based on my experiments with KVR 400 which I got from the US (w/ Promos/Mosel chips), those numbers look correct. 2 x 512 MB double-sided KVR 400 in dual-channel mode can be oc-ed to 223MHz (DDR446) at 2.5-3-3-6 at 2.55V comfortably. Slighly better than Corsair Value Select. The good thing...

PC Peripherals New Line of Cases and PSUs from Antec

Performance TX Cases and TruePower 2.0 PSUs. Looks like Antec converted the entire TruePower series into AtX12V 2.01 compliant with 24 pin main connector, and also with split +12V rails and pcie connectors. Somethin' to think about for DFI LP mobos in particular :ohyeah: ...

PC Peripherals Antec cabinets and power supplies

Here is some back-of-the-envelope math I posted on TA on Nov 01, 04', when I was looking to assemble my rig with a 6800. Still envy Stalker's BFG ! AMD actually assumes an efficiency of 80% for the voltage regulator as against 75% above. And, the efficiency of PSUs is more like 70% unless...

PC Peripherals Antec cabinets and power supplies

Yup, forgot about this new annoyance called VAT ! I'll be very guarded and say that a 350W should be fairly OK ! And between the SmartPower and TruePower I'll recommend the latter ! A True380W has 24A on +12V line, while the SmartPower 350W has 16A on that line. That aside, the True has...

PC Peripherals Antec cabinets and power supplies

The Antec cabbies w/ the SmartPower PSUs didn't seem expensive when I checked with itdepot some weeks back while I was picking up a True480: SLK 1600 (w/ SmartPower 300W) = Rs 2250 SLK 1650 (w/ SmartPower 350W) = Rs 2950 Both come with 3 years warranty and 1 80mm fan, and IIRC, a side vent...

    CPU/Mobo nForce4 SLI Motherboard Roundup

I think MSI is also a party to this mess because same confusion exists in the US between Diamond and Platinum SLI. Well, here's a summary of all nf4 boards from MSI: 1. MSI Neo4-F (vanilla nforce4) - available in India/US 2. MSI Neo4 Platinum (nforce4 Ultra) - available in India/US - price in...

    CPU/Mobo nForce4 SLI Motherboard Roundup

That's just about the feeling that I've too right now. Apparently an MSI board replacement might take months in Chennai.

    CPU/Mobo Which board for amd 939 ?

Well, been pinging Rashi on that board for the past few weeks - but they disavow any knowledge of that board. But Delta might get it early next month I believe. And, seriously, why do you think it will OC better - is it because you have some info that it is Rev. 2 ?

    CPU/Mobo nForce4 SLI Motherboard Roundup

You could get A8N-SLI Deluxe for just about the same price here in Chennai. And the nf4 boards of MSI don't seem to have good retail/support base here at least to my knowledge. The Chennai pros may know better. With the MSI neo4 platinum Ultra, there have been issues with posting into windows...

    Post your overclocks !

Somethin' looks awry - you sure running at 2.65Ghz with Geil ? My SuperPI time of 34s at 2.6GHz was actually using the 133 divider - that's what I meant when I wrote "progressively bad dividers at progressively higher speeds". In as much as I have a love-hate relationship with Kinsgton VR...

    Post your overclocks !

Tried this in a fit of wild abandon :ohyeah: ..... Athlon 64 skt939 Winchester 3200+ oc-ed to 2.6GHz with an Abit AV8, 2 x 512 Kingston VR @ 1T. The funny thing is I can get just about the same SuperPI timing @ 2.5GHZ. Progressively bad dividers at progressively higher speeds..... aka You win...

    CPU/Mobo Buy new PC

If you are looking for a PCI-E solution, then there is also this "recent" A8N-E mobo from Asus. This is based on the nforce4 Ultra chipset: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-530&depa=1 Rashi, Chennai doesn't seem to have it. It may be a good option if you don't...

Graphic Cards XFX Shatters the 3DMark World Record

XFX == latest nvidia tech + VFM for India That said, I need to touch wood and hope that my XFX cards stay healthy. But seriously, 3-year warranty at low price is a blessing for the ppl - at least I'm no longer dependent solely on Rashi. Now is it Big Byte that could be credited exclusively for...

    A8n Sli (OC)

Is the A8N SLI non-deluxe available in India ? Appears to be different from the Deluxe version in having fewer peripheral options. BTW, the A8N SLI Dlx has been regularly available at Delta Peripherals, Chennai for ~12K. It is only Rashi Chennai that's been outa stock.
