No , Stabilizer simply maintains a voltage range say from 200-240 V no matter whatever is the input and doing that it can jump from 200V to 240V in a fraction of second.

Power supply at my house is through a Stabilizer , which makes it fluctuate very often , So do i need to connect external hdd(Lacie HDD) power thru a UPS or the adapter provided with HDD will take care of such fluctuations??

I would have also gone for seagate or WD but currently seagate has that 7200.11 issue and WD GP has that load unload issue which increases its count rapidly in some cases,so i went for Lacie ,since i heard some good words for it and anyway i dont think samsung drive is that bad ,on a unlucky day...

I went to nehru place yesterday looking for coolermaster or transcend casing but cant find it anywhere even at SMC ,so finally settle down for seatech casing ,cost 600rs. zippyss was for 650 rs.

Yesterday i bought 1TB Lacie from cost 2 cost for 5590/- but on checking the device manager i found out that it is actually a samsung HD103UJ drive inside. I dont know if it a good thing or not ,just thought of sharing this with u guys.

Care to tell me the price of this dock and i guess this is HDD external casing u guys are talking about..I am looking for a decent casing for some time now.
