For your use which is mainly music; I can suggest SRS D8 (or the new D9), I think I bought mine for around 4K and they are just fabulous for music; very clear and balanced sound tends to incline toward bass. D9 should be at croma; I think some 10% off offer was also going on.

Hi Guys, I bought the mentioned receiver recently. I was initially planning to buy the NS-P40 5.1 speakers with it; but than stopped after reading in a review that it is all plastic. Also I do not really need the rear speakers in near future as my living room is does not have wall at one side...

I tried at two machines, two OS and none could format it. I mailed seller that it has gone bad and asked for replacement. Next I found and tried the format utility given by the OEM and it finally got formatted. I did a file copy and speed was good. checking it for bad sectors now.

TADA, its not formatting as well. stuck at 0% since last 20 mins.

For a 700 mb file; with Buffalo software installed; it took 32+ mins. Avg 300+KB/sec peak 600+KB/sec. Formatting it now.

This is on a usb 2.0 machine. For a 2 GB files copied using explorer, it started at 100+ mb transfer speed and than came down till 7 mb. I cancelled that and used tera copy and it is showing approx 600+ KB :mad: I will test it with 3.0 next when my laptop arrives, 2.0 performance is sure...

For desktop, I am looking for it as a dump yard mostly. Not going to plug it all time(as of now). Between WD Green and Blue which one is more reliable. I checked and found that they have same warranty, so should I check for some thing specific.
