Samsung Galaxy S vs HTC Desire vs SE X10

720p is no big deal when comparing the three phones, since the Desire will be getting it in an upcoming OTA update as well.

    Nokia: The fightback starts now

Hmm so Nokia are actually admitting that they are lagging behind Android & iOS. Wow that's a mighty big thing to admit from such a big giant. They're also admitting that whoever held this particular role as head of mobile solutions earlier was a total idiot who couldn't steer the ship properly...

Symbian-Guru shuts down, says Nokia is 'losing hard'

You've got to admit - S60v5 is great as a backup tool though, with all the crazy modding and hacking scenes around on iOS, Android and WinMo. I know my 5800XM is always present in the background as a fail safe backup, in the event that I do something insane with my N1 or PPCs.

    Suggest me some GPRS plans

Guys, is Airtel the best provider for mobile browsing in Delhi/NCR? I thought about going with Docomo but it turns out they don't service the Delhi area.

Rumored details for Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread

Has there ever been a poor man's Android? The i5700 is like what, 13Kish? That's certainly not "poor" territory.

One more suggestion thread to buy a new phone

The X10 might be a sexy piece of kit but it's pretty sluggish while using Timescape and Mediascape. I had an X10 for a couple of weeks and can honestly tell you that for any heavy FBer/Twitterer, this is not the right phone as it takes ages to load it up. Plus, the BIG worry with any SE phone is...

Rumored details for Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread

Highlights: * Expected to arrive in Q4 2010 * Requires a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM (SE X10 owners are out I guess!) * Will introduce support for screen resolutions of up to 1280x760 (HVGA owners are going to be a minority from here on) * Expected to be introduced on many tablet style devices...

One more suggestion thread to buy a new phone

Nexus One > HTC Desire >>> HTC Legend The N1 and Desire are 95% similar but the N1 has the awesome colorful trackball, voice text and noise cancellation vs 64MB extra RAM on the Desire. Sense UI has been ported to the N1 already so there's no advantage for the Desire. At the end of the day...

    HTC Touch/Nokia 6300 Classic/E51

Need any of the aforementioned phones for parts and hardware mods. Condition doesn't matter as long as the damn things work. DEL/BOM sellers preferred. Let me know what you've got.

    HTC Touch Diamond2 for sale.

Just a suggestion - load Eclair on it and sell it off as an Android device. I don't know of anyone who uses their WinMo 6.5 phone as a WinMo 6.5 phone anymore.

[How-to] Flash custom firmware (CFW) for Nokia S60v5 devices

Guess I forgot to create a hyperlink there. Thanks for pointing that out. :) The "HERE" was actually meant to point to this file: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! Download and extract that zip file and copy those patches to E:\Patches on your mSD. Start...

[How-to] Flash custom firmware (CFW) for Nokia S60v5 devices

Whoops, I seem to have missed a point! The custom firmware file you download will probably be named something like RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22 (just an example). Rename it to whatever RM-xxxxxxxx.rofs2.Vxx file is present as part of the original firmware set downloaded from navifirm. The...

[How-to] Flash custom firmware (CFW) for Nokia S60v5 devices

Yes, you can although I've found JAF to be more reliable than Phoenix. The default v40 provided by Nokia is good but not as good as some of the stuff compiled by cookers. You can flash a CFW that is based on the same firmware set without any problems. For example, a CFW based on v40 can be...

[How-to] Flash custom firmware (CFW) for Nokia S60v5 devices

A lot of folks have asked me to compile an easy to use guide to flashing custom firmware. Recent advancements in hacking have it possible to create custom ROMs, much like the WinMo and Android scene. Read through the entire guide multiple times to get an idea of what's needed. For additional...
