    It wont work properly at 256k. The video would freeze often. But, you should be able to see something. It also needs somewhat decent computer as it can suck a lot of resource.

    Its definitely not ok. Its definitely not among the top 5. I would rather go for Avira AntiVir Classic which is free. It has a much much better detection rate. If you want free you can also go for AOL Active Virus Shield. Or, go for Kaspersky if you can afford it. AOL AVS doesnt have web traffic...

    NOD32 has a great engine, is fast but it cant detect all virii. It's database is weak. Your best bet is Kaspersky. When you buy an av, detection rate should get most importance.
