Looking for help repairing Sony WH-1000XM3 (auto shutdown issue)

I’m looking to repair my Sony WH-1000XM3, which keeps turning off randomly. Apparently, this is a widespread issue. I went to Sony’s service center several times, but after explaining the problem repeatedly, their only response was the usual: “We need to replace the main board,” which would cost almost half the price of the headphones.

I tried following some recommendations from Reddit threads and stuffed foam inside, which made it work better, but they still occasionally turn off. I’d like to get this properly fixed once and for all, since I really love my XM3s and can’t go back to regular earphones .

Here are some threads where people reported the same issue:

If anyone knows a reliable repair shop (preferably near Navi Mumbai) or if anyone here can personally help get it fixed or repaired, I’d really appreciate it.

If it is turning off randomly, it could be a solder having cracked issue.
Removing the board and baking it in the oven might help to have the solder reform. It’s just something i have read people have done to their gpu on reddit so maybe keep my suggestion as a last resort.

I have a feeling if I can get someone to resolder all the wires and isolate them properly with eletrical tape the problem is going to be resolved but it is just a hunch.

But definitely keeping your method as a last resort

A place you see that does work on laptop motherboards should help.
Then i know a friend who had their macbook mobo repaired by someone on the Urban company app. They came to her house picked it up and dropped it back after it was done.

Will look into the urban company thing, thanks for the tip!
