but brother i have used multiple psu calculator present on the browser most of it shows 330-340 watt for 3060 and 304 watt for 4060 it you know any reliable website for checking pls share the link
3060 consumes around 170 watt max, 3400g less than 100 watts so go figure. 450 antec is good enough.
Hypothetically, letās say it turns out to be too low (which it isnāt btw
), the PSU will just restart if it cannot produce enough wattage.
In short, as somebody already mentioned, you hardly need to worry about your psu watt for this build. Just donāt use something super duper cheap.
Ya because every psu calculator shows at max 340 watt when i input all the components correctly according to their size which still leaves 100 watt free room so it will not cause any problem
For 1080p gaming alone - 4060 is better.
If you want future-proof for 1440p then - 3060 12GB will come on handy. And also for editing.
Bro, it will work, but as I mentioned earlier:
It can cause issues at 100% load.. Also, as @PunkX_75 mentioned:
It could also work fine for years to come, but its not usually recommended..
Anyway, the only conclusion I can draw from both these perspectives is that it will vary from person to person..
I am a beginer in video editing i have used 1060(6gb which was taken away sadely) card in this also and it gives smooth expericence in editing at beginer level
Ya brother you are right, but my proccesor due to some bottleneck will not be able to push 100 percent correct me if i am wrong so when upgrading the cpu i will upgrade my psu. Please tell then 4060 or 3060
If I had to choose, only between these 2, Iād go with the 3060, for the following reasons:
- Its not worth paying about 4-5k extra for a minimal performance bump..
- Higher vram on 3060, some games are starting to show up that require higher vram than 8 gigs these days.. And even if you avoid games, having more is simply better for futureproofing
- I am not sure about this but iirc nvidia reduced the pcie lanes to 8 instead of 16 starting with 4000 series, which may cause bottlenecks on older platforms (gen 2, 3 etc), I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THIS THO.
However the performance can be much higher if you use frame generation, where 4060 will widen the gap and paying extra may make sense, but Iād still not go for it.
But, Iād also look at 3060 ti, yes, I know it has lower vram at 8gb, but it is higher in performance than both these cards, If I could find it at the price of a 4060 (30k inr, as u mentioned), Iād rather go for it.
Peace ![]()
Then no issues. Go for RTX 3060 as you play on 1080p. It can handle high/ultra settings.
Also look for 9060XT 8GB its got better performance than these both and costs around 31-35k but also be sure if gonna upgrade to a 1440p monitor u might have to dial the settings and textures down cuz at least 12gb vram is minimum for 1440p know days so if you wonāt go for 1440p in future thant 9060xt 8gb is the best option.
I picked up a 4060 last year during the Flipkart BBD sale for ~ Rs.24500. At that time 3060ās were going for less than Rs.20,000. This was not counting SBI card discounts. Itās almost a year since I bought my GPU, and prices look like they havenāt moved at all. The Amazon Prime day sale is coming up, and you may get good discounts then. Iād suggest waiting till then, and also checking out AMD cards, which may offer better performance for the same price.
but it is going over the budget my budget is 30k and at max 31k but 9060xt is no where less than 32k and for monitor i am fine with 1080p monitor bought last year
Buy ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Challenger OC 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card at Best Price in India only at Vedant Computers thats the lowest one i could find u 31.3k is ok i think its worth it
Honestly you should always prioritise VRAM over anything else in these low tier segments.
Buy 3060 12gig.
You probably should be upgrading your monitor cuz using 1080p in big 2025 is just a nono.
Save the money and use it to upgrade your monitor.
It would be great if you could find a used RTX 3060 for 15k.
Video editing - take newer ones from nvidia - they have newer nvenc asics, will give a much better output.
So how is your experience with 4060 in games and i have searched for amd there is no new option for my budget
I donāt game much, and I use Linux. Witcher 3, Metro, Halo 3 all run smoothly on high settings on my monitor, with a 2560x1440 resolution.
for amd cards where should i buy 2nd hand because there is no new graphic card which offers good performance and is under my budget
At this price point might as well consider the Arc B580, unless you are not worried about the support compared to AMD and nvidia.
