I’d lean towards the RTX 3060 (12GB) here. The extra 4GB VRAM really helps in VRAM-heavy titles—especially at 1080p with high textures or 1440p gaming. There are even scenarios where the 3060 performs more consistently than the 3070 just because the 3070 runs out of VRAM.
Unless DLSS 3 is a must-have, I’d still pick the 3060 for better long-term headroom.
That said, if any recent driver/optimization updates have improved the 4060’s handling in VRAM-heavy scenarios, would love an update from someone more in the loop.
In any forum the thread can be closed only by mod/admin. The new TE update is migrating from Xenforo forum software to Discourse forum software which is much more active in development & supporting newer features (kind of like moving from windows 7 to 10/11, many don’t like it but it is inevitable in the long term).
