Poll on allowing multiple listings under a single sale thread

Perhaps you can start a poll, if there is sufficient consensus over a period of one month that this is not desirable, then we can tweak things.

We can look at maybe restricting one active listing per user and asking users to consolidate items in their one active listing. Each listing can have a lifetime of say 1 month.

I am trying to come up with a poll wherein the community can decide what the new marketplace should be like. I am not very good at this, so please let me know if I messed up anything and if the poll can be improved. I’m just putting up main points that Renegade asked for in the above comment.

This rule mostly affects sellers and the buyers (people who never post sale threads) might be feeling differently but I am not sure if it is a good idea to exclude any group from voting and if it even can be done. So it is what it is.

New Active Listing Limits

To provide clarity regarding your listing capacity and tiers, the following maximum active listing limits will be enforced:

1. Free Tier: 3 active listings (Available to users with 25+ posts and active for 30+ days)
2. Contributor Tier: 10 active listings (Available to users with 100+ posts and active for 90+ days)
3. Plus Tier: 15 active listings (Paid tier)
4. Pro Tier: 50 active listings (Paid tier, primarily for high-volume users and resellers who will be migrated eventually)

I think less value items can be allowed to have the multiple items in a thread option. with a limiting rule for eg. say total of all the sale price of the items should be less than 5,000 INR in multiple items thread.

Another thing, I believe a common multiple item thread is a CPU+Mobo+RAM combo or an entire desktop in the beginning but later on individual items are sold separately. not sure how it can be achieved now.

Should sales threads have an expiry period? Say expired after one month?

As long as expired means auto closed , Time since last response works better.

Say 1 month since the last response / bump / update from the seller.

I believe Renegade said somewhere that autoclose is not working, but this is an excellent distinction. If topics/sale posts can be closed with Autoclose after one month of no activity from the seller on that post, that should be agreeable to most everyone.
