Thought I will ask if any member here have been using such portable power stations and if they can share their experience.
There are days when I do get 1 or 2 days or continuous no electricity.
Something can power my water kettle( 1400w) for 5 -10 mins to be nice but should be portable and easy to carry around.
I know that is asking for too much from a small device.
But in anycase even if someone can share there experiences with Powerbanks over or about 40000mah would be interesting to know.
Usually in India I think only Ambrane and Callmate has over 40000 mah powerbank but many seem to complain its quality is poor.
Do share your experience if you have owned them and used them and also if you have some suggestion of portable power stations for me .
Do you have access to a car in these situations? Get a automotive inverter, wire it up, turn ON your car, run extension to where ever you need, and you have 220V AC.
Here are some you can look depending upon wattage you need.
But the problem is that it only gives out 120V AC, at 120V your computers, phone chargers and stuff will run fine. Resistive loads like your kettle will also run but may take double time.
Was looking at some such recently due to a possibility of a long disruption, but that situation went away and didn’t go forward with the idea. However, I am interested to know about this category of products. Have they caught-on in India? How reliable, cost-effective, lasting are these?
need for both. Stationary as well as something I can carry with myself during travels. something in size like i mention in opening post.
My need is basically like a powerbank would do…recharge my mobile phones and laptop quite a few times and power a water kettle for me.
but I understand water kettle is asking for too much for such small portable stuff.
and I like the idea @kiran6680 shared about buying a small immersion rod. good idea too.
However i can also use my camping gas stoves to heat up water if needed that badly.
BTW guys …is there any powerbank that can have that be charged through outlet and at same time continue to charge my mobile phone too. like pass through thing.
I know you would say why not just use a different point outlet for charging your phone.
But if anyone is using that kind of powerbank do share your experience too
