Removing Remote Management from MacBook Pro

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro purchased legitimately that has remote management activated. I was able to bypass it but when I formatted the MacBook again, the remote management screen appeared again.

My question: is there any way to permanently remove remote management from the laptop or has this to be redone every time I format my laptop?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you! :folded_hands:

I don’t think there is a permanent solution. The serial number is generally registered with apple. Don’t think it can be removed permanently

Thank you @skyquake. I spoke to a couple of unauthorised mac repair shops and they said they can fix it by changing the motherboard or something. Seemed fishy so I am just weighing my options. Don’t want to mess with the hardware.

What is this bro, i never owned apple product. But is this normal behaviour, don’t you own the hardware you bought?

Changing motherboard is very costly. I got it changed once from apple, costed me 65k.

This was from a sale of company hardware that had some remote management activated on the device.

Haven’t made my mind up yet. One guy is saying some chip needs to be removed and can be done for 10k or so. But will keep the device for a 2 days. So that’s slightly scary.
