Replacing RGB Led in my GMMK Glorious white ice full size keyboard

As the topic title suggests ,i have one of the rgb leds on my keyboard failing and tbh i am too fond of this keyboard to let it go so i would like to replace the bad led.
I have tried figuring out what led will go in ,tried asking the customer care but no response.
So ,anyone have any experience in replacing rgb leds on keyboards please help out ?

My questions are :
1 What is the led to get to replace it ? And where to get them?

2 And how difficult will the soldering process be ?(I have never soldered in my life ,so might get help from someone)

any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

This is from Glorious GMMK 3 keyboard

These seems to be non standard leds, these are SMD but with long tabs. Probably hard to find.

so any other option can i solder in standard size smd led 0603? could that work?

not 0603 but other 4 pin RGB led types.

Are you sure the led is bad? If the bad led is in the middle, you can swap it out with any other corner led. So it won’t appear as obvious.

It will be hard. I suggest sending it out to @chungus for this.

yeah i am sure it just works in one color and now even that is intermittently going on and off so i guess its about to die ,
Good idea i think i will replace it with the esc led but i still want to try and put a replacement led for esc key as well.
you have any clue as to where i might find 4 pin smds online ?

i really appreciate the help, thanks for the suggestion i will contact @chungus and see if he might have time to help out.

Common 4 pin RGB led are easy to find online, but we don’t know the exact size you have in your keyboard.

Like these are 5050 size. Even with the right size the pin tabs have to soldered with some kind of hack, this is a tedious job.

I will try and figure out what size leds i have in my keyboard. Will try taking it apart in a day or so to check it and report back.

If you are going to do that, once disassembled, power it on and press on that led from behind and see if that fixes it momentarily, then it means it just bad contact somewhere.
