Scanner + Automatic Document Feeder for ~5000 pages

I need to scan thousands of documents with minimal manual effort. My total budget is ₹50,000, so high-end digital senders are out.

As far as I know, affordable sheet-fed scanners top out at about a 60-page capacity (open to corrections.) Does anyone have suggestions for an automatic or semi-automatic setup that can handle a large volume of pages? For example, is there a way to add an external feeder that keeps the scanner’s ADF supplied without manual intervention?

I would just buy a scanner with ADF and pay a school/college student to scan them for me. Even 5k will get you very far, lol

There are some Canon scanners (something 235 or so) that comes under your budget. We hired a vendor to scan our office documents. The vendor used two Canon stand alone scanner and deployed three persons, two for machines and one for renaming the files, saving, removing pins etc.

Please note the size of paper, single sided, double sided, stampler pins on the documents etc. Have a huge impact on the scanning speed.

For e.g., When the vendor started scaning of reimbursement forms it took more time than imagined as the size or bills were different for different bills.

Thanks

Do you know the quantity of documents to be scanned. Say 10,000 pages, ask your nearby xerox center etc., to do the job. It will save you a ton of money. They have resources to do it better. Also they will do a good professional level work especially with old documents with different sizes. Should cost you less than your budget.

ADF from Fijitsu, Canon is better suited. We are currently using Canon P215 Scanner as we require them on the move. This wont be suitable for you.

Haha that’s not a bad idea but the stuff is semi-confidential so it’s better handled privately

Yeah that seems to be the recommendation but I’m dealing with material that’s best kept private. In hindsight I should have mentioned that in my OP. Appreciate the answer anyway
