The problem with Apple Music is that their AI or whatever Machine learning algorithm that they have is the crappiest of them all. It just cannot help you by surfacing new songs unless you explicitly search for it and play it.
299 per month competes with a video platform like hotstar ad-free plan upto 4 devices.
199 competes with Netflix plan upto 1080p on one device.
Do people find value in Spotify so much to justify these prices which are similar to a video streaming platform that too when “good enough” alternatives are available.
Don’t know about Android, but it has a decent app for Windows. It’s not as snappy as it is on MacOS, but I can’t complain. If streaming is all you want to do, you’ll have a decent time with it.
BUT, if you want to also manage your local music with it, then forget about it. There are countless annoyances with the app, the biggest being the lack of redundancy checks, so if you rename or move your files, you can accidentally add the same files multiple times without an easy way to remove them automatically. For managing a local collection, I recommend Navidrome or Koel.
