Looks like an Xbox Series X mini.

I’m most interested in the frame headset. It’s going to be running on a mobile chipset(snapdragon 8 gen3) but comes with an ARM version of their linux distro.

So along with streaming, it will also allow running windows applications on the device itself through an open source emulation layer called “fex”. This is going to propel adoption of ARM devices for pc gaming, maybe even on android phones.

And the device somehow also allows sideloading android APKs too.

This is great for a number of reasons, but I think the biggest benefit we’re going to see is more and more games supporting and running well on Linux

It’s crazy how small the Steam Machine is-

Performance-wise it might be between Xbox Series S and PS5

The controller looks interesting, I hope it has hall effect/tmr this time around

Hope the frame gives the quest a run for its money!

It does use TMR sticks with capacitive touch sensors.

Video showcasing new hardware.

It has TMR but they are not replaceable. Although there chances of failure are very minimal

Speculation of price and performance of steam machine though take it with a bit of salt.

Stop! Stop! He is already dead…

That’s a rather larger mutated banana. They should nice and small organic bananas for scale. What you use as a reference is important

I hope they can sort the Anti Cheat issue out. Cause it would be ridiculous if this thing cant run some of the most popular steam games (BF, COD, Apex etc).

That is the only thing holding me to Windows as well. If they can get MP games working, I am out and installing Steam OS on my PC that very day.

The performance being worse than PS5 in what’s likely going to be a more expensive system than PS5 is a bummer.

The cube does look good though.

why do we care? its not like any of these will ever come to india officially

correct me if im wrong but sony sells their console at a loss to make the money from games so in most cases we cant match that price
