Friends,thinking of purchasing 1.5 ton inverter ac , please suggest a good brand,have shortlisted ogeneral,diakin and Hitachi,any others please suggest... Kumar

Daikin Price varies from 40k to 48k depending on star rating.
Hitachi , 44 -55k depending on star rating and feature
Mitsubishi Electric, 51k, No star rated inverter available as of now. Installation kit extra. Imported unit from Thailand
Panasonic, 5 star inverter will be 49k. ODU Imported from Malaysia. Lower models around 40-44k.
Hitachi will be most power efficient, though service support is questionable. Mitsubishi has best build quality.

Buy the daikin . I got a daikin and a Hitachi ac recently , Hitachi is sub standard nothing premium or Japanese about it. The service horror is another story. Just by noticing small things you can tell that hitachi has poor manufacturing practises.
One more thing pcb of hitachi is around 16k and daikin is 8k
