Laptops 17 inch laptops not available in India anymore?

There used to be ads for 17 inchers in the newspapers a while back, but when when I went to check the HP India and Dell India sites, they don't have any!

Specifically, the HP Compaq 8710p looks good, but I can't find it on the HP India site.

Anybody know what's up?
 
what? who said Dell doesnt have the 17'

go check out Dell's site again and click on the Inspiron 1720. Check out the screen size... its a 17' alright.

Inspiron? The Dell India site only has Vostro, Latitude, and Precision models shown.

Dell Notebooks - Small and Medium Business

Now that I dig down, only the Precision seems to be offered in 17", and that's only the M6300. It's not configurable on the India site, but configuring it on the US site leads to a huge price of $2600 or so for 120MB HD, DVD Writer, and 2GB RAM.

Is there any other 17" laptop in India?

Well dude, as superczar said check in Home section!! U can find Inspiron 1720 over there!!
