Storage Solutions 250GB Raptor?

WD RAPTOR 250GB was abt 8K INR at newegg, last weeks...but the only 1s ATM are the 74GB & 150GB RAPTORs & loads of Caviars.

Think I'll settle 4 a 250GB Caviar WD2500KSRTL...16MB cache & 2.5K INR.
 
... 7200.11 ? 250GB single platter ?

I heard that there is a Seagate 250GB 2.5" HDD which is pretty fast too.
 
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KSRTL 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive.

All the 2.5" HDDs in India are 5400RPM or lower...ve been searching 4 a down 2 earth 2.5" 7200 RPM HDD 4 my Satellite in ne size 4 ages now...not even in Dubai.
 
Eazy you are pretty close to it ;). Its not a 7200.11, its a 250GB single platter 7200.10. Its half the thickness of a normal hard drive and blazing fast!

GREAT HDD !! must check out this HDD, most Single platter drives are fast and run cool.

Did you get it locally ? Price ?
 
Haha sweet, where the hell did you manage to find this? This will force me to can my plans for a 150GB raptor x :D
 
It costs 2700 bucks here in bangalore... model no ST3250310AS. Its not mine, belongs to shantanu (hunt3r). I was shocked to see the transfer speeds... look at the speed at the end of the medium its 60MB/s :P.
