Graphic Cards 3D Mark 03/05 score thread

Reposting this ----

Hey Masky -----

What was your 3dmark score that these other guys talk abt??? They say that they have still not beaten it and all that.......

Which 3dmark??? What is the score???

And what is the highest 3dmark score anybody has got at TE?????

I scored 7095 pts in 3D Mark 03 on a 9800 Pro.. thats what we are talking about here.. i cant post a link to the score coz if i do then the link in my first post will not work so i am attaching a pic of the Futuremark page with all my scores..

My best score is 5688. But I have not been able to replicate it again. And I did not take a screenshot of that. But I had saved it as a .3dr file. I am posting a ss of that. I know it is not 100% proof, but it is the best I could do at short notice....

In the same image, notice my 3dmark03 score of 11271 and 3dmark 01 score of 21082

Nikhil posted 35.15 minutes later:

Increased my 03 and 01 scores ----

Here they are

Are the scores good???? I always feel that the scores are a little bit low for my system and my overclocks...... Of course, RAM is one hindrance....... but still........... what do you guys think???

here is the 3dmark2001 score , taken on 17th may 05.

cpu speed = 290 htt = 290 x 9 = 2.61 ghz.

Gfx core = 408 mhz , mem = 519 mhz. (practically no overclock of the gfx card).

from above it is observed that 3dmark2001 is influenced greatly by actual raw cpu speeds

and 3dmark05 is greatly influenced by the graphic memory speeds.
The gpu core speed does not have that great an impact on the 3dmark05 scores. unless you increase it by some 40 to 60 mhz to see any substantial changes.

ok here is the score of Gigabyte 6600GT i am using now.
Purchased this 6600GT few weeks ago from my friend to fill in until i get my new card.

GPU@575
MEM@1.25

Wait a bit.
this is not max this card can do. It does more so stay tuned for updates.
Not bad for 6600GT eh? This is preety close to what i was getting on my old machine with stock 6800GT with older drivers :P

This is not 6800GT.
Its 6600GT. I had 6800GT when it just came out in the market.
Drivers were not so great back then. And it wasent factory overclocked as BFG and my PC was P4 machine back then :)
Anyway this is the latest with core @ 580, memory @ 1.27Ghz.

Thats a very good score funky. :cool2:
but i would suggest that "you take off your feet from the pedal" and go slowly and gently in your o/c endeavour of your graphic card. before "electron migration" issues render the card irrepairable.
electron migration (applicable to any processor / memory chips) = due to immediate sustained high voltage and temps one finds gradually you have to supply higher voltages to get the same o/c speeds. the situation becomes so bad that the processor / memory gradually loose its o/c abilities and the stable speeds gradually decrease over a period of time. no amount of voltage raising or tweaking brings back the intial higher speeds.

The situation becomes so worse that even for stock speeds you have to supply very high voltages and after a while the processor / memory simply dies.
This issues are possible causes of recent findings by oscar wu of dram failures where very high voltages were applied to tccd and vx rams on the dfi ultra boards.

this is for benchmarking only.
It comes factory overclocked to 520/1030.
And i run it at stock speeds for gaming.
Runs everything i throw at it at 4XAA and 4XAF @1024x768.
The only thing that remains overclocked is my CPU.
And the gigabyte comes with darn good all copper cooler. I have applied AS5 to it and thats all.
Load temp 57C. Idle 41C thanks to card cooler blowing air right onto card.( brought down load temps by little over 10C. Used to get ato 69-70C full load without card cooler.)
This is one sweet gigabyte card.

Hey DJ, Thanks for that info.

But abt my graphics card, I think it is safe as I told before that I run it at high speeds only for benchies. Otherwise, I run it only at 400/1100. And the idle temps is around 57 and the load temp is around 76. This has come down from 61/82.

And abt my CPU, I am now running it at 1.552-1.600 V. at 2,45GHz. The load temps do not go above 45 deg C. Is this OK??? Will my CPU be in any danger???

check out my list lol . this card is vanilla 6600 ;)
1877 3DMarks 05 ( with VSYNC ON 71.90 DRIVER )
2269 3DMarks 05 ( with VSYNC ON 76.50 DRIVER o/C 355/665 )
2378 3DMarks 05 ( with VSYNC ON 76.50 DRIVER o/C 400/650 ) :cool2:
2054 3DMarks 05 ( with VSYNC ON 76.50 DRIVER o/C 320/600 )
2449 3DMarks05 ( VSYNC OFF 76.50 DRIVER o/C 355/665 )
2068 3DMarks05 ( VSYNC OFF 76.50 DRIVER )

will soon get 3000+ 3Dmarks05 score once i get proper cooling for the card and o/C at 550/700 .

Mine are 12700 in 03 and 5232 in 05. runnin a evga 6800GT @ 425/1140 for benching with NV silencer. Sorry no screenshots, have hardly had time to b at my comp fr anything but checking my mail these past 4 months
